A speedpainting movie putted in this news on official ≡v≡ online in China is made by me.
It was a big pleasure for me to see it, I felt really appreciated. It would be great if this video would be mentioned in English website :>
Anyway, I wasn't even informed about putting it there by anyone of chinese dev. I don't mean that I demand anyone to ask me for permition to insert it anywhere on the Internet, it is a big pleasure for me if anyone puts it anywhere, really.
I don't know Chinese at all, and I don't know what is written there. Don't know if there is any information about me, author, if there is a positive or negative comment, or if they just say 'this is made by us'.
I tried to enquire what is written there from some people on Chinese channel, but noone wanted to help me.
Don't know who should I contact with to enquire why it was putted, and what is written there.
PS. Sorry for my English ;)

It seems that I did anough good job that it is too hard for you to see if it is a screenshot or just art.
Actualy I don't care about such comments, but I'm slowly getting fed of people who try to litigate even that white is white or black is black.
I recorded all the process to show everyone that I drawn it, not traced or cloned a screenshot.
What is point in using cloning tool, if you see all the process of drawing? If you don't believe that someone can draw like that, I believe that you have complately no idea about computer graphics.
You can see some mistakes caused by drawing (yes, not cloning) in full image - fullsize image is availible on youtube.
Oh, sorry, you can't see them because you have no idea about computer graphics... my bad.
There are many funny people in the Internet that believe that if they can't do something, noone can do it. Such a duffer syndrom.
I'm working as a graphic designer as a freelancer, why do you think I couldn't have drawn it?
There are many graphic designers that draw much better than me, for instance take CCP artist, how do you think they are painting? By a clonning tool?

I would be flattered by your comment if I were the artist. It just shows how much you envy their work and you wish you weren't so pathetic yourself. I like how you know about the clone tool and assume everyone uses it, rather than realising you're just a talentless hack who couldn't cut it in the real world.

Alqua Evulque - I'm trully impressed with your work, is there any chance you could upload "slower" version of that movie?
I would like to learn at least some of the skills you used but it is happening WAY too fast for me to catch what is actually happening :(
I'm a bit into photoshop and cg but it's mostly limited to fixing some photos (like removing scratch... hidding some detail that should not be there and stuff...).
If you could upload longer - thus more "readable" version I would be very happy to watch it, the current one is really cool, but hard to learn anything from it :(

that being said it's nicely done, and your probably making this vid cause you want to work for ccp and that's cool.
don't lie though. this is NOT entirely hand painted, but you do have nice flair for using ps.
what i'm saying is good job, and you do deserve credit, but you also should remember to give credit where it's due too, and not take credit for the cloned parts.

If you say that it can be done by cloning brush + pre saved selection otuline, please use any screenshot to make picture the way you mentioned. Don't forget to record all the process, I'll gladly watch the effect.
I believe that if you say it can be done like that, you can do that. You wouldn't talk about things you have no idea about, would you?
I hope you watched my other videos on youtube. Can you say they were cloned, as well?
I'm still waiting for Khanid's video, who a few days ago told he is going to make a video the way you told in one day.

/me is Photoshop CS3 certified (by Adobe, no less) and I'm nowhere near as good as this guy. Damn nice skills you got there.
And to the non-believers that say he's cloning another image, I certify that he's not. Nor is he healing it from another image. He's freehanding it. The only thing I can possibly see that he might be doing is picking colors from the other image and using them in the new one.

I watched the vid and it's amazing,must have took a lot of determination to paint that for 5 hours.

I don't think anyone doubts you freehanded it. It's pretty evident you're using the pen/brush tools and no amount of video editing could hide that. :)
Anyway, I'm wondering if you did the pic freehand with your mouse or used a wacom tablet or similar?

I was floored the first time I watched it and so were a lot of other people who watched it as well.
A vast majority of people do not post on the forums cause they are too busy playing or don't think it is worth there time with all the flamers.
Nice job and I will definitely be looking forward to your next project.
Please keep the same format.
It is just as much fun watching the picture being drawn as seeing the completed project.

I'll record process of drawing next project as I do with most of my drawings (you can see them on youtube). I think it can be not only more fun in watching a picture being drew, it can learn someone as well. Such a little tutorial.

I'd just like to say that you've some amazing talent there. Wish I had a fraction of it heh, but seeing things like this always inspires me to go back to Photoshop and try to become a halfway decent artist with it from time to time. Though with a lack of any natural talent it becomes a trial haha.
Anyhow, amazing to watch and very impressive, can't wait to see the next piece you're working on.

Indeed, I watched it a while ago on You-tube and was very impressed when I saw it was freehand. I actually assumed it was someone in Eve's art department it is that professional.
Fantastic stuff! I hope you know better than listen to the comments of a few flamers jealous of your talent, and I also hope you get the recognition you deserve from CCP.

It's just a case of practice (practice, practice, practice), and loving what you do. I think every graphic designer would tell you so :) Maybe if you'd practice more... who knows what level of using photoshop you'd gain? :) It's rank is about 10, so it takes some time without good implants ;> I'm currently skilling advanced photoshop painting, it takes soo long time.

Many people told it would be better to draw Nyx instead of Wyvern... Well, I believe caldari's mothership looks much better than gallante's, but it's just a case of taste I think :)
I was thinking of putting some Amarr ships (ah, great design) in the next project, haven't considered gallante's.

I think what some people fail to realize is that what we're seeing here isn't just Photoshop skill, but actual drawing skill.
It's a bit like saying: This food tastes great, you must have a really nice set of pots and pans.
I just love watching these kinds of videos, where at first you just see the rough draft and think to yourself: Heh, I could do that.
Then it just blossoms into this mindbogglingly beautiful picture and you go: How did he DO that?

I usually find its the other way around. I commission someone for a picture, then they disappear. Three times now in fact.

This is my first post and I just wanted to say WOW.
Your skills with Photoshop are amazing and anyone that says differently can eff off IMHO.
What people can't comprehend or are unable to duplicate will be characterized as phony. This isn't a reflection on you but rather them and their own inadequacies.
