It was brought to my attention just now that the jump clone issue at the heart of a long discussion was actually resolved a short time (approximately 50 hours) after the issue was discovered and bug reported. The resolution was applied in a third hotfix applied after Trinity's deployment, but information about said resolution was slow to disseminate internally.
The Trinity Patch Notes have been updated with a number of server-side changes (at the bottom of the page), including the aforementioned Jump Clone Implant resolution.
We apologize for the miscommunication.

Yikes, I hope you realize that you have a big issue with communication between departments and I hope you will try to fix said issue. Apologizing is nice, but putting in a system so it doesn't happen again would be much better.

Just now? That's quite slow. Good thing it's a game and I don't take these things too seriously and let it annoy me and then I go and mow the lawn and start doing constructive things around the house ... phew. Glad that part of my life is over. _____________________________

Nice to know it's fixed. It'd be nice to get my 1.5b worth in implants back though. What's taking the GMs so long?

Edited by: Jaabaa Prime on 18/12/2007 19:06:18 Thanks kieron, better to know late than never ...
When you see the developer that slipped that fix in there and who obviously doesn't read the forums (missed a 16 page sticky ?), then please poke him/her in the ribs and tell him/her, that he/she should should take more interest in the community forums
This "miscommunication", cost me 2 weekends of kill and loss mails, can you generated a few random ones please and add them to my character sheet ? (preferably more kills than losses ) --

Let me bring to your attention that after what is now almost two weeks the reimbursement petition I filed has not so much as been even looked at thus far Kieron.
Not much to ask to get at least a short comment on a petition after one week of waiting time and at least let people know not any more implants will be lost, what'd you think ?
I have decided to take a long break from Eve over this bad lack of communication. Would be nice to see some improvement in commonication until I am back. Ah-and I wonder whether by then I ll have my missing implant eaten by one of your brain-bugs as well.

Thank you for acknowledging this and fixing it.
Next time, could we have a more open/public list of issues with acknowledgment. Bugzilla (have admin view on expliotable ones of corse - though a public description banning said useage).
ISSUE/BUG acknowledgment and coalating does appear to be a very core issue with CCP, at least in a timely fasion as a whole.
I accept that in -your-face show stoppers get dealt with timely. But nigerly small issues that can be avoided are generaly retrospective and then after alot of venting by customers.
Attention to detail and things float very well.
"We apologize for the miscommunication" accepted, but what do you plan to avoid this happening again and again....?

Got my implant back yesterday after total of 2 weeks. Acceptable - had I been able to clone jump to mitigate the impact on my training time. Thanks to poor communication -aka not even a comment to my open petition after 10 days-that was not possible!
In no way shape or form will I see my lost skill time reimbursed. (Hint: giving back a higher implant may have helped) Escalating - and this was made abundantly clear - to a senior GM will not achieve anything other than probably get me warned/banned.
*shrug*
Not the GM's fault, but this still remains very bad service, especially in the light of the terrible lack of communication between QA -> Dev -> Propaganda -> GM staff.
Account runs out on Dec, 30th, I ll be back in spring to see a hopefully better support system.
Happy Xmas and all that, player of Da Ram

I jumped and lost my implants and filed a petition. They said they can't see my jump clone history in their logs so I am out of luck.
Now think about this for a sec. I was only asking for +3 learning implants and the other slots had mission type implants (shield recharge, cap recharge) but all were only 3%. In other words I wasn't asking for anything that was horrendously expensive. But they consider it to be better that I get screwed than they give away free implants (assuming that I was lying) because they can't verify it???? Who screwed up here? It wasn't me....but I am paying the penalty. To make matters even better after they said it was all fixed I jumped to my third clone and lost all those +3 learning implants and mining foreman mindlink.
This is a little like someone screwing you and then suing you after because they hurt their back while doing it.
I won't even bring up the afternoon I spent fixing my computer due to the win.ini file fiasco
But since there are so many people who absolutely feel this game is gods gift it will continue. There are even people who defended the devs when they got cheating.
Personally I would like to see all the mission runners/miners/maufacturers quit this game and see where the pew-pewers are left since they feel this game is theirs entirely and the devs agree.
Oh well, I am moving to a place that has only dial up, so my mmo days are coming to an end....good thing the last two months weren't wasted on this POS

During the first 'round' I lost a full set of +4's, but they were returned in a relatively short amount of time (4 or 5 days).
'Round 2' I don't know about - it was fixed for a while but perhaps they made a change during downtime that broke it again.
