I've been having the same thing, but not since trinity, it started abrubtly one night about a week before trinity patch.
You know what, the funny thing is that I play two accounts and only one keeps dropping constantly. Then after a few disconnects they switch places. And the desyncs are really, really bad. One character starts shooting the rats and the other one watches how the tank is going and when the rat dies (so I can attempt to shoot the other rat even if launchers still show as inactive). Lagged out account sees everything normally, but with a "slight" delay (as in 3-5 minutes later XD) The disconnects can happen from once every 10 minutes up to once every before-I-even-enter-character-selection.
I'm on OTENET, chania. Same problems, albeit to a lesser extent from martinigr, also otenet.
EDIT: and why exactly aren't you all in maza? Get in here piggies :P Join "maza" chat so we can whine/flame in greek properly.

Edited by: Dahin on 19/12/2007 03:31:17 Here's a scary fact for me:
The disconnect-fests are way more common from 07:50-22:50. I mean I've had many times that I crossed one of those boundaries and suddenly I could log in normally, or start the crashfests.
But it's not consistent so it could be my inner fears that otenet is pulling a tiscali on us.

Official otenet responses? where?
This is silly, I drop on average every 55 seconds atm (that's how long it takes me to get into character screen)

To who reads this, please answer this: *Do you have problems with other internet connection-oriented applications? *Does the traceroute come up with anything? *Have you called the ISP? And what do they say about this issue?
I'm not using any other so highly interactive applications over the net. I do notice from time to time the sligh freezes on my browser that could kill the eve client.
You'll be amazed how much the traceroutes up to ccp change. This morning it was 12 hops, now it's 10.
Now calling otenet customer support on number XXX is a comedu in itself: me: hi, <insert speech diarrhea explaining the problem> support: What dsl modem are you using? me: err, what? the modem works fine tyvm support: then it's not our problem, please call number YYY
YYY number: me: <my mouth hurts from diarrhea> support: err, that's not our fault, call XXX number, they're responsible

OTEglobe link from Athens to Frankfurt is getting full (is full from noon till 21:30). They have said that they will upgrade this link in the next week.
So everyone using OTEnet must have some patience. And also call the phone support of the ISP. I have notified them to not ignore the problem and open a ticket.
I am confident that the whole issue will close next week.
Sounds nice But the link going full during peak hours doesn't explain why I get the same problems on my classic zombie timezone of 02:00 to 07:00 GR time (that I have to resort to lately).
I'm off to buy a 2-month netcard for dsl from an other isp tommorow. If it works, otenet can kiss my bottom (I hope they got a go-kart and lots of saliva, cause my ass is huge).
Even though todays customer support guy was amazingly nice to me (as in not shoving me off in the first 30 seconds after telling him my modem is fine), he still insisted that this is not otenet's problem. So uhm, if you get poisoned in a restaurant and it's because they bought spoilt meat, is it still not the store owners fault?

Hi, it's "next week" and still nothing.
It's now well over a month that otenet cannot support any kind of interactive connections.
May I urge everybody to change ISP? Forthnet works like a charm over here.
As for setting up proxies, On telecoms isn't working since otenet->ontelecoms goes through frankfurt again (omgwtflol).
