Edited by: MercedesBenz on 18/12/2007 10:35:54 Ok, I'm not gonna lie, I really have no clue what to do with this.
I scanned down what I thought was a drone radar site tonight, attempted to scan the cans in the site and get a message that says I can't use the codebreaker on them. I check to see if I can open them, and nothing inside 'crap' I thought, 'someone has already done this' approach a 2nd can and I get this message
Quote: Mid fight you noticed a transport ship coming in from warp accompanied by a few drone escorts and after some targeted scans your instruments get a suspicious reading along their incoming warp trajectory.
and then I get an option to set destination that sends me to another system 5 jumps away. atm I'm not totaly sure what to do with this, do I need to bring my probing ship over and check the new system out?.. help!!
Edit: I also get a new journal entry under expedition quoting the same text as above.

with a message like that you need to get your pew pew ship and go where it tells you and shoot the rats or drones. be sure to shoot odd named or unique stucture to try to trgger the next part of the escalation.

The escalation gives you the bookmark, you don't need to probe more.

Look in your journal under the expiditions tab, once you get there, and you should have a warp to option on the right click menu for that expedition.

that's strange, all it gave me was a destination system, no bookmark..

Go to that system, select the expedition in your journal and right click it, there should be some sort of warp to bookmark option.

Just to clear up the last bit of the mystery for you, what you actually found was an "unknown" site (ie: a combat site). If you picked up a Radar signal on your Multispec probe then it's probably still there to be found. Unknown sites tend to have stronger signals than other sites (not always of course), so you often find them before the site you're after.
Cheers.

Have you tried right-clicking in space? There should be a bookmark entry just like with missions in your right-click menu so you can warp there directly.

lol, yeah, tried that, again there was nothing, but it's ok, the mission's 24 hour timer expired.
