"Cobalt" in WoW:
Off course it remind us very much of Kobold. But Cobalt is also a much used word both for metal referrence and colour.

Reins of the Cobalt Netherwing Drake (rep reward from Netherwing)
Cobalt Band of Tyrigosa (low end lvl 70 epic)
Reins of the Cobalt War Talbuk & Reins of the Cobalt War Talbuk
Cobalt Crusher (blue lvl 29 imba twink mace!!!)
In adition to 4 uncommon item types and a quest item involving the name cobalt
So it's used, but I guess it mostly reminds people of kobolds :D
For the Etherium case however it's much much worse!
It reminds people of EtherNium ore (very common ore after TBC)
EtherEum is also a very commom word used for the "Kael'Thas"-like world. Alot of mobs is called after it, there is even a places called after it:
Places:
- Ethereum Staging Grounds
- Ethereum Prison
++++
Mobs:
- Ethereum ethereals (I'm not gonna list individually, but there are many)
ETC
ALOT OF ITEMS also got this name
Conclusion:
Cobalt is used merely in WoW but it my remind people of Kobolds.
Etherium is not used, however it's easy to mix it with Ethernium or Ethereum!

So my region is now the Cobalt Edge. Ok, I could be cool with that. However, having surveyed EVERY DAMM MOON THREE TIMES (they reseeded cuz they forgot to the first time, then had bad seed second time) I can state with relative certainty that there is NO Cobalt in the Cobalt Edge.
So: Does this mean we get a reseed yet again, or will the name to be changed to 'No Minerals Found Edge'?

I was hoping for "Bat country" to be in there somewhere. Mind you, that'd be dooming it to be marked as future Goon country.
Syndicate was the original and best bat country tbh.

I submitted Etheria for 7-K, as I wanted to stamp Ethereal Dawn's name on it in a good way, and someone went and twisted it round to some apparently WoW-similar name.
The drone regions just got that bit more sucky.

As stated, Rule's bid was on Edge. I understand Mostly Harmless suggested something like Cobalt Reach or Cobalt Expanse. Our best guess is that CCP tried to compromise between ours since we have fairly even shares of the region.
Unfortunately, Cobalt Edge just sounds silly. If it was a choice between this or MH's suggestion, whether it was Reach or Expanse, I'd take the latter, as it is much more fitting.
("Edge" started as "Edge of (something)" but I insisted we shorten it down to just Edge--it's fitting, given we're on the edge of known space, one of the furthest regions from empire.)

Zion is a GREAT MOUNTAIN in ISRAEL which is holy. It is the mountain upon which Moses gave us the commandments. It has nothing to do with zionism - it is a symbol and nothing more.

No, but honestly. It's not like a station name that you can just enter into a field and change. Those regions are staying like that, and they seriously blow donkey harbl.
