I am happy to report that with this new patch Eve-mac client has made wonders to my setup. Now I can quite reliably play EVE on my Santa-Rosa Macbook (x3100) even though it is not in the supported gfx list! Before I could play only for minutes and do nothing much than cahnge skill, now I have played for hours everyday since tuesday and only once the client has crashed on me! So please don't break the new Macbook, when you fix everybody elses problems :)

I found a curious problem during the last week. I have been playing EVE with the Mac-client well enough since 1.0.1 update on my Macbook. Some sporadic crashes have occured but almost bearably less than before. Last week I however made a new alt and after that the client started to crash every time in the caharacter selection window. I tried every trick - clear cache, delete prefs, boot, reinstall - nothing helped. But I was able to log in and play with a friends account! Until I srcapped the new character (with an Bootcamped client) and voila - the Mac-client started again normally! The only explanation I can imagine is, that the character's image was somehow erroneus. That would also explain other crashes reported to happend sometimes when you click on a pilot in chat or look at the info. Sometimes the character images have some ****ch or property that the Mac client cant handle. Hope this helps to solve the problem.

I just installed 10.5.2+graphics update and tried EVE on my Macbook x3100. Seems to be running well enough, so far. Pressing the esc in both window and fullscreen mode still crashes to desktop, but this time I even got an error message:
Feb 12 10:59:38 AMBDX [0x0-0x26026].com.transgaming.EVEOnline[0]: err:seh:EXC_DefaultHandling Unhandled exception code c0000026 flags 1 addr 0x68d5c8
This seems to be a problem with this particular and offically unsupported machine/graphics, since no one else has reported this kind of behaviour. Hope the error msg helps some to track the problem.
Anyways, I will keep on testing... and playing
