Banduril Gallente GoonFleet GoonSwarm	Posted - 2007.12.18 15:56:00 - [1] Lets talk about hybrid NPC/Conquerable regions like Fountain and Delve. Doesn't EVE need more? This idea seems like a good stepping stone for smaller alliances and mission running would be nice in some of the outer regions like Cache and Omist. This would also pull more people into the 0.0, a needed thing as we live in a post 12-15 world.

This is a great idea. This could tie into the factional warfare if its ever released, letting you align with pirate factions as well as the empire factions. I can imagine a lot of good RP opportunities as well.

As most of us know, loot is currently sorted by meta-level (much like alliances) - with low-quality loot rated a low meta-level and officer and faction loot rated at a higher meta-level. With Jovian loot, this scale is not definitively accurate. Role-playing alliances would most likely prefer Jovian craft to drop very high meta-level loot, leading to an unbalancing of power between the new hybrid regions and previously available regions. New spawns would have to be added to existing regions that drop enhanced loot in order to maintain the status quo.

Something akin to a Jovian Titan, needing between 50-100 pilots of good skill to kill.

Jovians aren't anyones enemy I thought.

This could have a big impact on the economy and who controls the regions (think snake or slave implant mission runners TIMES TEN NO LESS). Releasing such powerful factions must be done with a gentle hand on CCPs part and will have big ramifications on the value of all non high security space zones.

Releasing such powerful factions must be done with a gentle hand on CCPs part and will have big ramifications on the value of all non high security space zones. also a dynamic security level system could be implanted in some areas much like concorde, however they only protect enemy npc haulers going from station to station. if you can stay the tank of the security ships (not like concorde who are way too powerful) then you can loot the hauler and get tons of stuff and possibly shoot the security ships as well (more would not spawn as it would be like an encounter) _____

The argument for more hybrid regions to entice players into 0.0 is a sound one however could stand to be convincing from an RP perspective.
