Cobalt Edge and Etherium Reach are quite good, Kalevala Expanse would be good except i know at some point i'm going to try saying it and its going to sound like Kalakarvla or something Malpais - meh The Spire - try saying on TS "setting course for the spire" insted of "setting course for home", some region names and the word "home" are naturley interchageable, "the spire" definateley isent. Oasa is a good name, Outer Passage just makes me laugh - (combat) Patch belonging to CCP hits your drones, wrecking their liberty and freedom.

Outer Passage is plain awful. The Spire is uninspired. Etherium Reach is very RPG. What the hell is Etherium? Kalevala Expanse is ok but would be better as just Expanse. Malpais est tres mal. Perrigen Falls I particularly hate as it is again awful RPG sounding. There are no waterfalls in Eve and who or what the hell is Perrigen? Sounds like Peregrine spelled wrong. Oasa is ok, but would rather have had Orca for space whaling. - Ideas are my business...maybe thats why I'm always skint! Please read my ideas

What's there not to like when CCP spreads a little Finnish culture into world. I have always liked the fact that there are so many Finn-like names in Eve. As for forcing CCP to read Kalevala, don't be so cruel. I bet you haven't read it either. ( I personally liked the English version better )

Im sure one of my former comrades could let you know our final cuttting list but I cant remember them. I do remember precipice being on there and a few Dark Tower associated words, all of which were far, far better than "outer passage". I would really like a transcript of the discussion on that one. It seems to me that this one was decided on in a hurry, just before beer-o-clock "ah its on the edge so um- how about Outer Passage, duh..." Personally tho, there is some irony that a region has been plagued with bugs, gimped roids/drones as well as being a logistical nightmare to move stuff to empire was named with a connotation to one's bowel track. Some input on "Kalevala": I certainly agree with using it instead of "Expanse" as a short form. In addition to being the name of the Finnish epic it is also the name of (the most of) its heroes home. And by the way, as Kalevala Expanse is to the east of the State, the village of Kalevala is in Viena Karelia, east of the Fenno-Russian border.
