That is because its either a fakepost or a BoB spy
Dafuzz, you commented earlier that what I envision is impossible- or at least that's how I interpreted your 'nope' response. I saw it as a refusal to embrace the possibility that better relations between players and corporations are possible.
Now I haven't been around very long, but it looks like you have a lot of people here on the forums who think you're a pretty chill guy regardless of who belongs in which corporation. Do you honestly feel that it would be better if those people hated you instead?
Would you describe yourself as the member of the 'old guard' I mentioned? Filled with bitterness and hate to the extent that they no longer consider open communication to be either viable or desirable? Isn't there some part of you that sees this as a truly sad state of affairs?
I've barely posted on this forum before, waiting and getting my bearings in the EVE world and meta-world, and already I'm being called a fakeposter. Honestly, it does make me feel sad. I know EVE is described as being a sort of cold, dark world, but it's also totally open-ended. We can bring some warmth into it if we choose to.
If I took the time to convo someone I am about to pod, chances are 20 of his buddies are ready to jump in and kill me.
So no.
And your CEO absolutely hates me IRL. Ask him, if he doesn't answer, ask Stoffer.
Then come back and ask me if I care
that's not very chill brosef.
maybe the whole MC situation is making dafuzz a less chill brosef. tbqh it must be pretty stressful.

No, it's just that we thought that there were too many new topics being locked so we're taking an effort as a group to improve both the quality of our posting and CAOD in general. Please, if all you are going to do is flame, take it elsewhere.

Originally by: Althair Erin I've seen some few examples of mutual respect, but they appear to be few and far between.
When I fly through space not owned by my Alliance or allies I feel a kind of cold distance between myself and other pilots.
Aww, a goon feels misunderstood and cold shouldered by the community.
Just think about what your "leaders" have said in the past about bringing EVE to it's knees and killing nodes, then you might just have an idea why there is little respect for any member of your alliance.
We may have made mistakes in the past, but we were going through some difficult times. Please, if there is any way we can gain your respect don't hesitate to contact me or any of my alliance mates in game. Our public image is now and forevermore very important to us.

Or the posts about crashing the server ? Maybe they should know about it before making decisions.
Originally by: FGxHalsey Also, lets remember that this is just a game and that there are real people on the other end of the characters we see.
Yes, its a game, and crashing the server / node ruins it for everyone, where is the gameplay in that ?
I respect and have flown with loads of the older players in RA, TCF, etc., and sometimes even chat with them. Not intel or anything, just a chat between old friends (and sometimes enemies).
Originally by: FGxHalsey Through honest dialog and mutual respect for each other, perhaps this culture we call the eve-o community may come together for their mutual benefit.
One of the nice things about EVE is that "mutual respect" is earned, not requested or simply given because you want it.
Back in the days of CA vs. SA, there was loads of "mutual respect", we killed each other at every opportunity, but there wasn't any real animosity.
I think it'll take ages before people see the goons in another light. Your future actions (as an alliance) will show if this thread is more than just hot air.
Given that we are trying to change, or more correctly going back to normal, a little support would be very welcome rather than constant doubting. We've been acting terrible for so long that it's a bit much to ask that all our members change overnight. I'm sure any words of encouragement would go a long way to helping those that take longer to revert to our true direction.
