What would you say is the best way for a Thorax pilot to deal with incoming missiles?

I usually try to ignore them and hope they will go away. If that doesnŠt work then a smart bomb seems to be the only way.

Do smartbombs just immediately hit missiles? Or do you have to somehow target the mega fast missiles and hope your bomb hits them?

Depends on missiles. Defender missiles works if the incoming missiles are not too fast.
Otherwise I would go for a EM harderner, shield booster and take the hit.
I heard you could use a auto targeter too and shot them down, but not tried it myself... |

Only problem is Thorax can have missle launchers.
Either the shields or outrun em with a dual MWD setup and Blasters or well... you know what happens...

a good set thorax can take a few hits.

How about releasing cheap expendable drones when missiles coming your way.....Let them be the target not you :)
