I was looking at Interceptors and started to think, "How fast has anyone gotten one of these things to go?" So I'm asking all of you, what is your fastest top speed?
How long were you able to sustain that speed?
What ship were you in?
Do you have a screenshot of that speed/could you get one?
Let's see all you speed demons come out and post your best

on tq i've got a crusader going about 38 but people can get them alot faster an insustainable setup on a vaga can do 30k with a 100mn mwd

Couple of us in corp were trying to work this out... We calculated that a crusader with all the best fittings/mods and with best skills with best gang bonuses with full snakes etc could do just over 50km/s...

Not true. This USED to be possible, but the oversized MWD does not offer any speed advantage nowadays.

Fastest I've ever been is about 8km/sec. I regularly fly at 3-6km/sec.

T2, rigged, crusader, speed fitted. Thats even without nav lvl 5.

I go 7100m/s in my Crusader, It has no riggs and I have no speed implants  with rigs i would probably reach around 9k or something like that I think, with snake implants = 12k/s ??, and with my corp friend's Claymore in gang = drool. My sabre Pre-Trinity went around 4,1km/s, with him in gang, went 8,1km/s

Highest ever speed was 13 km/s in a cynabal (overloaded). In gang , havent tried yet.

Fastest i've gone is 10km/s on an Ares, but hit 85km/s on a vaga on geddon day

I think the speed record's currently hanging at about 55 km/sec, set by a Crusader. Of course, this is with a max-navigation pilot with full HG Snakes, a strong booster, all the other implants, faction ODs/nanos, T2 polycarbs, and a Gistii A-type 1MN MWD, and with a max-skilled Claymore pilot hanging around with a Skirmish Warfare mindlink.

10km/s with my vaga... i can go 20km/s with a sleipnir if someone will give me a few billion isk for mods, and implants :P

Ive gon 130km/sec before,sadly it was because i bounced my crusader off a moon.
The maxed out topspeed of a crusader is about 38km/sec though.

Fastest i ever went was 10001 m/s
Crow with polycarbs, gistii mwd and T2 Nano and T2 Overdrives. Nothing overloaded or drugs, have +3 Rouge set and a Zor hyperlink (decent skills)
Put it in a gang and you can get 11001 m/s even more with a speed warfare link.

This is TQ, about two months ago. It's a shame there's no way of having seperate speed records for TQ and for SISI, but don't think there's a way of proving which one you're on..

Exactly! I mean, I was looking at another thread and they were talking about hulks and much they could mine, and I was like OMG DUDES YOURE DEALING NO DAMAGE, n00bs! Oh and then this thread about dreads that didn't mine for ****!
It's not like I'm gonna go and spend several isks on a ship that can¦t fill all roles and purposes. I mean it¦s not like they can be refit for each purpose or anything.
