US stores are better than here. This is generally speaking of course.
In the UK MOST of the time its staffed with people who hate the job and thinks its crap so they do a crap job thinking they deserve better.
In the US the staff may think the same but they act differently, they seem to take the opposite view do a job you hate well and you deserve a better.
Although Americans make me giggle lose a tyre on a mountain road and you can't get it back on for people stopping and offering to assist which is awesome to be honest. 5 miles down the road in the store a guy is stood in the cash queue with a credit card and they threaten to shoot him lol.
I can't believe I have to go out shopping again today Happy Christams bah humbug!
/start sig I love old characters that post 'I've beeen playing the game four years' when I know their account has been sold on. /end sig |

I did all my shopping like, a month ago. Weee
I do ICS for wal-mart so I know better than to shop the week before christmas, at any other time than my lunch break (2:00 AM)
But imo, people are just to polite, if someone is on your way tell 'em to move, I do it all the time, 98% of the time people listen too. ---------- I gave up on sigs. As all the beatings from the abusive mods are starting to hurt and leave nasty bruises. |

OMG; I agree so much I thought for a second you might be my alt.
Went to Sainsburys yesterday - experienced all of the above - with one more added ******* thing to **** me off... I'm also one of these people who hates people paying on cards. They should be shot in the face. So I, for the benefit of other like minded people - went to the cash point inside to try and withdraw some cash.
But some damn ******* woman in front of me decided that she was going to check not one but 4 cards.
Not take any money out.
Just check her damn balance on all 4. Not even on screen; on the printed slip.
I stormed off before she finished... Had to pay on my card, turning me into something I hate.
I contemplated waiting outside for her in my car. "Sorry officer she ran out in front of me. Yes I know I reversed back over her; but only because I could see she was suffering!"

For the obvious reasons, I usually stay out of any shop near christmas. Actually, I move outside my apartment mostly only when I'm going to a bar. :) There's 24/7 shop near me, so I buy all the food I need usually around midnight.
They always say that Christmas should be the time to relax, and to spend time with the ones you love/care for. And still, people use weeks running around the shops in the verge of a mental breakdown, cleaning their houses inch to inch with a toothbrush, writing thousands of christmas cards for all those people they haven't even seen in the past 15 years.
I think next year I'll go to northern part of Finland to stay there, in the middle of snow. I'll wrestle naked with wolves, eat bark from the trees. I'll make a spear that I name "The Myrmidon", hunting reindeers. And I'll swear that I never return to civilized world again, at least not near christmas-time.
Phew. I'm glad it's January soon. |
