Working with new players is like working with virgins FFS!!!
You get a headeche and you have to tell them how to do all the time and continuesly tell them that what they are doing is good and they don't need to bring more slipcream... _________________________________________________ I fly for these:

if I could, right now, I'd have no qualms about re-joining my noob-corp (University of Caille) ... but everything I leave a corp, I end up in Aliastra :P

Staying in an NPC corp for a few months with a new alt is a good way to lower the suspicion that you might be a spy. "Oh look, SWA for three months and that's it. He's no spy, he really is a noob. Recruit him."

I am new so I could be wrong. But I think it is because either they can't find a proper guild or they are in between guilds. There is nothing wrong and shameful about in newb corps. --------- Technica impendi Caldari generis. Pax Caldaria!
Eve is really big and looks very nice for a 2003 game. Definitely the best game ever! |

well i for one got much of my savings wiped out due to being one of the few loyal members of an alliance in which almost half the members were spies, many of the remaining officers were incompetent fools, and the remaining few were unfortunate victims of this combination of incompetance and being screwed over.
i got out and left my corp - which was a smallish one, and was doing it's best to clear up the alliance and give it a pair, but frankly i couldn't afford to stay with them, and i wanted nothing to do with the alliance whilst the rest of the corp directors were determined to save it (and did a fine job for a time, but they ultimately got screwed over again, poor guys ).
this coincided with a reduction in time available to me to play, so i withdrew from the 0.0 life untill i could find enough time to play more given the fluid nature of those regions. ========================================== that's no moon... oh, wait, yes it is, the space station's out the other window. |

I have my mission running alt in an NPC corp simply because I don't wanna be in any corp with that character... pure and simple. I don't wanna be in my mains alliance due to wardecs and tax and I don't wanna be in a player corp because I already have enough to do with my main.
If anything gets changed I'll simply train corp management to 1 and make my ego corp for my mission runner.. no big deal either way imo. |

Because in every MMO I've played when I join a corp/guild/clan I end up playing 40 hours a week and my health, sanity and job can't handled that anymore these days.

1) To avoid taxes
2) Because I don't like being expected to jump on TS/Vent every time I log on.
3) So I can't get War Deced after killing someone in a corp. {I figure this is somewhat of a trade off for the 10 man gatecamps they assemble to kill me which i cannot compete with on my own.}
4) To irritate anyone on this forum who hates it when vets stay in the npc corps.

I spent a couple weeks in Aliastra after my last corp disbanded and was surprised at the number of alliance veterans and capital pilots. some were there because their corp disbanded or they got sick of it and left, some had cancelled for a while and got kicked for inactivity, some were just taking some time off to do empire stuff before going back to 0.0.

A lot of people stay in npc/starter corps purely because having hundreds of people to talk to and help out is a big draw.
stayed in cas for the first 5-6 months, back then there was never more than a hundred in the channel, over that time, made good friends with over half that number, many of whom stuck around for the same ammount of months i did fpr the reasons i mention.
I know now with 3-4 times that number in the channel it's a buzzing hive of activity of players all enjoying there time in eve helping each other out while exploring the game at steady pace.
For many, self included at times over the years, we wish we could go back to the good times.
Stonecold hits you at times when your feeling lonely in a corp chat with 5-6 people, half of which are afk'ing, compared to a lively chat where you can allways pick up a conversation and find a new friend to help out ______

Someone with 25m SP can be in an NPC corp because he might be a casual player without time to spend everyday.
