As the title suggests. Some people are putting escrows onto the escrow system without any package contents. Is this an exploit? If it is then it's time to start lodging rather a lot of exploit petitions.

No it's not an exploit.
This happens when someone puts a BPC with no runs remaining into escrow.
All the angels and the puny men of god looked away...

Its called check "inspect" your stuff before you buy...if you got scammed then I'm sorry hope you learned from it.

Putting a Gallente Shuttle in place of a valuable item is the exact same thing as putting nothing. So if it was an exploit, people would just use more Gallente Shuttles.

Confirmed on 0 Run Prints. Also confirmed on the Tech 2 prints
This is a bit annoying, since one can't cancel personal escrows atm, so wou would have your Tech 2 print stuck until escrow runs out, since one can't demand to take a Tech 2 print unchecked

While I can't justify calling it an exploit, lame though it is ... I *do* think there's a case to claim for harassment. The number of escrow missions you can see at once is sharply limited, and when useless scam attempts like these are littering the system, they block out a lot of the stuff I actually want to look at, and that other people want to sell to me; that's interfering with my, and their, gameplay, to no good purpose (since not even an idiot is going to click "Confirm" when the game asks him if he's really sure he wants to buy NOTHING.)
On those grounds, I think they should be removed, and players warned not to keep placing them.

I agree. Placing Escrow missions with the single intent of 'getting over' on someone (0 run bpc, shuttles in place of actual listed items) should be treated as harassment cases and players should be warned.
