Oh, what a cool question. A few hours ago. My 28ys old sister just died. Fascinating christmas present one can position under the xmas tree. Awesome. Currently I'm trying to arrange for a funeral, it seems though that since it's a three-day holiday we'll have to wait till Thursday.

Last time was when I got sick with flu. Sometimes a night or two prior to falling sick i get horror dreams, so I woke up crying that one morning. Can't remember what i dreamed about but it was depressing enough.

Holy ****, I'm really sorry to read that. All the best over the Christmas period.
Last time I cried? Mid September, when we found out about DarkElf passing away. I'd gone to the pub with some friends I hadnt seen for about 8 months, drank a considerable amount of alcohol, sat in front of my PC and basically cried for an hour.
Felt better after that. It seems weird, I never met DE IRL, but it felt good to let something out.
Very good topic.

I'm sorry for your loss; there is never an acceptable time of year for a family member to pass away, one merely hopes that they can smile for atleast a small portion of year, especially around Christmas.

Well if you count yawning about 10 minutes ago when watching some musical thingy on itv I think. But with real tears i'd say when I was watching this documentary on Churchill's Bodyguard. Wasn't real crying more the sort of tear in corner of eye that you smudge away with your wrist. --------

I mean, people die etc, but 50 isn't quite old enough.

I was going to say something else but that got me
Before that: watched LotR with some friends around Christmas, and every single person in the room cried when Boromir died. It was cumulative like laughter or coughing
Hoshi no Koe got me, as did the endings of Fullmetal Alchemist, Azumanga Daioh, and Simoun. Simoun in particular, it made me for about two days for some reason

Didn't realy understand it at the time, but in retrospect I do. What can I say, I was 10 at the time....

I think that almost every American will remember exactly where we were and what we were doing at that moment on September 11th. My grandmother lives in New Jersey (very close to New York city for the non-americans) and we were in constant contact with her as the day went on. More and more reports came in about people from her town that had died or were missing. It was one of the saddest things I've ever experienced.
The only thing that was stronger than my grief and my horror was dread. I didn't pity the dead, but I knew what an event of this scale will do to the people of a nation, the kind of irrational behavior it could spawn. I feared for the future of our nation.
Actually, I did cry once. It was for the single Pakistani family that attended our high school. They didn't deserve the treatment they got. ---------------- Tarminic - 31 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.78.2 |

Tar, it wasn't just the US that felt the unity on that, Britain, Canada, hell the EU and the anglosphere took it as a blow to all of us. I didn't realy understand it at the time but I think seeing my mother in such a weak state changed me. I can understand about the Pakistani families though, consoling a freind when I had to break the news to him that we had actualy bombed Baghdad is one of the most surreal moments of my life - he is Iraqi.
