(even re-did the whole reinstallation to rule out a miss)... other flash-sites also makes firefox take up an abnormal amount of resources... but only eve-online.com break it's will to live.

I installed an older version from here and now I don't hang on the front page anymore Get it here: Old Version btw uninstall your newer version first.

You can get older versions from the Adobe website link here. Make sure you uninstall the version you're using just now (both IE and Firefox) then restart and install the version 8 ones. Some pages made both IE7 and FF hiccup but for some reason the EVE forums page always, I mean 100% of the time caused my notebook to lock up compeltely requiring a hardboot. Even if I had viewed the page earlier without rebooting and was sitting idle at my desktop it would cause a random crash. I installed that Flash Blocker for Mozilla and have been fine ever since. For IE I just blocked Flash and it to seems to be fine. Syrup
