The Phoenix Alliance has to travel through the Pure Blind region frequently and I think I can safely say that the entire alliance has complete respect for the dangerous Joker pirate corp. Nice guys who stick to their word while having fun.

Don't make forum posts if you want to know who they are, you won't find them here.
Get your ship ready and look for them in space and I really hope your ship is insured.

Sadly for them i got out That is just one experiance we have had with one of the best corps in EVE.

There are also rumours that one of them took down 6 battleships on his own in a scorp. Now if the rumour is true, I'd like to have an explaination on how that is possible.

Don't forget that they are impossible to taretjam!
You can't warpscramble them. Also capable of cloaking since several months ago. They seem to have some kickass tacticalshields coz you can't take their shields down, ever.
Not that it matters that you can't scramble them, really, coz I heard they have some ³berweapons that rip through a battleship in mere seconds. Shieldtanked or not.. So you really don't wanna be the guy trying to cage a Joker on 20km distance. Thats like... trying to block an enraged rhinocerus path. Sure.. you stand in his way. Question is, for how long?
They just continue wrecking havoc and kill everything in there path. Everyone are scared ****less of them.
On that occasion when Fist lost his ship (going up against 16 battleships, of which only 5 made it home) its said he actually selfdestructed. He was badly damamged but with only a third of the opponents left, his shields where starting to recharge and they faced certain death.
"Good fight, you deserve to win", he said
and then kaboom..
This is what I heard and its all true!
A friend of mine met a guy in Yulai who said he knew a guy who had an ex-corpmate that claimed to know a guy who was there when it happened.
And that was the story told to him

Well, if these persisent rumors are true, one is that they totally wiped out a m0o/EVOL fleet that was outnumbering them with crushing numeric superiority. They also did it with zero casulties.
I'd say I smell a big fat stinking rat here.
Stop fooling around, if people want to PK, they should stick to the normal game parameters instead of doing things that can be done but shoulden't.

What do you care skillz?
If you have fought against them for more than 5 minutes then you would know that they are nothing more than a bunch of extremely skilled pvp'ers.
Fist died two nights ago jumping into a camped JIP. They are far from invicible but if a n00b bunch of pvp'ers goes up against them then the n00bs will die badly... as what happened when Fist killed 6 BS or the 13 BS kills they got at the weekend in Deklain.

The scorp pilot is good. The other 6 bship pilots suck. Still unlikely, but possible.

A megathron (1 of the ships they usually use) can fit 7 tech 2 warp stabs (yes they are out, it seems, but not for sale). Not that I think they DO, but you can't blame them for exploiting before scrambling for more than -17. This is probably just a rumor, though...

And I'm trying to say that there is a lot of exhaggerated stories out there from people "who have heard it from a guy who has a friend who..."
If they had actually crushed a fleet of evol and m0o and there was something fishy about it. I'm very sure that it would have been all over the forum and there would have been 100+ petitions about it.
According to their own website they did fight a slightly superior number. But not crushingly outnumbered.
Don't assume that reputation and a corptag makes certain individuals better. There are always as good or better ones out there.
Jokers have built their rep from fighting with those who themselves are good at PvP. Not camping gates or shooting travellers. So it don't surprise me if they did beat a slightly superior number of m0ovolution * -"You know, we play the "good guys" right? I have NEVER seen m0o loose a battle where we had equal numbers (or more). |

Edited by: Sassinak on 18/03/2004 20:58:27 Ok, heres what really Happened HEH HEH HEH...
There is a group of 4 or 5 of us heading up towards BKG. were all equipped with mwd for travel.. Shrike was running about 2 jumps ahead for some reason then he tells us he is being attacked by 3 Jokers, were like, k cool and try to hurry up and fight them, then there is silence from shrike as his TS disconnects...again, Unfortunately Shrike has been experiencing lots of probs with his isp... Anyway, Myself and the other guys jump in to find a can and Shrikes corpse. We start fighting and they warp out, and then shortly after insta jump past us. So thats about it really, not no glorious battle where we were all around at the same time, and they led a gallant assault on us and we lost while outnumbering them, pretty much they just ganked Shrike alone and then left.
Just to put the facts straight
Thats about the only experience ive had with them so far, im sure i'll see em about again next time were up there
They do seem like a well organised band though, so respect, but please post what REALLY happened k? Sass Arcane Technologies |

Edited by: Jexter on 19/03/2004 08:57:04 Since the old days in Obe I always liked Slightly Mad attitude, who of course is right. The words "Kaiser Soze" come to mind.
On the Evol/moo fight, Sassinak is pretty much correct with the only exception that we took down Shrike and a Malediction frigate. During this time they kept jumping in (with some delay between ships most of the time). Even when they were all in the system we were allowed to keep shooting one of their tempests until it warped out with I believe 20% armor intact. Partially because of us jamming them and also because one Apocalypse apparently chased one of our pilots to a belt while the main fight was going over at the gate.
This being said, it is true that Shrike jumped in first, the Malediction pilot second and the others were a bit delayed, which gave us a good tactical advantage.
As everybody with some combat experience knows, it's the opponent's tactical mistakes that often will grant a win: had they all jumped in togheter, I am sure that they wouldn't lose the Apocalypse and almost a Tempest. Maybe the Malediction. We are pirates, we do our best to take advantage from such mistakes.
We were a bit surprised by the confusion and/or lack of coordination that they showed in that occasion. But of course, who doesn't do mistakes from time to time. Most likely they were autopiloting to the stations of Fade in an attempt to take them over.
All in all it was one of the many fights that occur everyday in the EVE Universe, nothing major. As our forums visitors know we don't post the details of each fight, mostly because I am a lazy guy and also because I find them boring. What it really matters is the final score.
Best regards.

Edited by: Soul Reaver on 19/03/2004 11:16:26 I once new a guy, well actually it was his friends right handed cousin who had married his uncles brothers brother three times removed. Who claimed to have met whilst working downt pit a man who was at school with Fist. On ilkly moor bar tat and all that!!
So the story goes. Fist had a starring role in Grange hill where he learnt none other than advanced Neural Networks and hacking. later in life so im reliably told. Fist happend on a man whilst out shopping who was wearing a fish net leotard. Intrigued by this he asked what his name was and the famous Fist/Jexter partnership began.
This pair were regulary seen running around Roysten Vasey wearing matching Fishnet leotards and sling back stilleto wellies. Scaring the locals and also starring in the ensuing comedy on TV.
One day whilst in the famous vasey shop they happened upon a copy of a new game called EVE. They quickly realised they could achieve no small amount of fame and fortune by using Fists earlier advanced Neural networks and hacking training to maniuplate the game to their advantage.
During tha game they quickly attracted the atention of the "FOUR" Who equipped them with tech 97 modules so they could more easily reak havoc on EVES unsuspecting denizens! And so the story goes anyway.
Its funny that they always ran from us and we are only FOUR ROFL LOL God that could open a whole can of worms huh!!!!!!!!!!
Dont you just love these STORYS of invincibility!!
Hell Im bored at work ok :) I am also quite mad I guess!
PS All joking aside they are bloody good PvPers :)
