[1] Battles in this game are so fun. The sound, the effects, its a real shame a screenshot does NOT do it justice when telling others. Shadowbane (the game I just came from) had a movie recording tool and was without a doubt one of the coolest things I've seen in an MMO. Gimme. |

[6] Would be nice if it only recorded data, and not rendered video, so playback would still be the same, but allow playback from different camera angles. Would take much less drive space too. Lifter, Prospector |

[7] jesus, this game is already CPU and memory high-intensive and u want even more lag?? No thank u. We have fraps for this. As for that data recording. even worse.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

1) No it's not :s try running a reasonably new fps and get the same graphics gorgeousness out of it for the same resource footprint... 2) Fraps IS cpu and gpu-intensive, that's 'more lag' 3) He's talking about something like the demo recording in CS and such following fps' (not sure if it was present in anything pre-half-life) Right, now my comments, a system that records positioning and actions from the first person perspective would be the best way to do it, ideally, you should be able to record everything on your grid if you're pc could handle it, not just what your camera is looking at, but that would be quite hard on the pc, so best left to those with new expensive rigs tbh. So yeah, /signed for a record mode which outputs files that can be played back in the client. New ship class |

[10]It's fairly common in RTS. StarCraft replays can be found in abundance. Considering the fairly rudimentary nature of EvE control schemes, I suspect that something like this could be managed rather easily. And oh, boy, would it be useful for training, publicity, competitions and general awesomeness. |

[11] I'd use it to make videos without needing masses of GPUs to run the client at 60fps and record fraps >< New ship class |
