For a stealth bomber?
Ive heard a lot of people say the T2 missiles arent that much better than the T1's damage wise.

the precisions MIGHT be worth it.
but the T2 launchers are nice. same stats as best named + bit more with spec skill, and cheaper, altho harder to fit. ---

Don't need precisions on a stealth bomber, and harder to fit would make it impossible on a bomber.. so I would say its not worth 30 days for 5% more dmg. _______________________________________________ Minmatar will always go faster than you, get over it. |

Yes, I was seeing the 'high damage' cruise missiles are useless.. a minimal damage increase at expense of half the range. maybe a battleship would like that but not a bomber.
the precisions are something different though. I know T1 cruises kill frigates in 1 hit..
but the t2 precisions maybe can take down a cruiser or hauler in two or 3 salvos?
sigh. this game should have a little offline simulator for these things.

5% more damage from cruise 5, and 8% more RoF from cruise missile spec 4.
Precisions are worthless for a stealth bomber, but furies are nice. Or would be, if faction weren't just plain better. -- Crane needs more grid 249km locking? GMP and TNP |

EFT provides damage output comparisons for weapons?

As a related question to the original, is it worth training cruise specialization for a mission running raven?

30 days is nothing, try capital ships skills ;)
5% extra damage from cruise missiles 5 and 8% better ROF (9% better damage) from cruise spec 4 - so yes, really worth it.

Yes. Cruises aren't that tough on your fittings, so you should be able to get T2 launchers on it. And with Cruise Missiles V and Cruise missile spec you're delivering perhaps 13% more damage than with just Cruise missiles IV. 13% more damage means more ISK/hour and less risk. ______________________________________________ -You can never earn my respect, only lose it. For a high sp char, yeh. Every other situation, no. Far better things to do with 30 days skilltime.
edit: Unless you use the weapontype quite often. Duh. _________________________________________________ Breetime

It provides tools that let you do it yourself. IE, 2 setups open with different skills.
Of course, I don't think it shows how much dmg you do to a certain target

Thanks for the input everybody. I think I will be training cruise spec as I do use cruise a lot. Sounds worth the time.

EFT shows inaccurate damage information and should not be taken seriously in that effect. I have proven EFT calculations wrong several times, and thus, only consider it useful for determining what fittings will fit on a ship, not damage and tank, as, again, it is inaccurate.
T2 Cruise Missile Launchers wont do you any good on a stealth bomber, but would be fantastic on a mission/ratting ship such as the Raven. While training the skill up to 5 will get you more damage on the stealth bomber, you're better off putting arbalests on as they will actually fit. www.the-bastards.com |

That is actually something I've been looking for. Most of the cases I've had a look on has been quite accurate, so I've eagerly been awaiting to see what flaws it might carry.
Care to share some of them?
