Leilani Solaris Gallente 0utbreak	Posted - 2007.12.27 20:45:00 - [1] I just got this for christmas and i've been hooked on it since, It's gotta be the best fps i've ever played. Currently at lvl 25 I think. Not bad considering i've been playing it for about 36 hours I don't think i'll be playing much eve for a while. Anyone have a server btw?

Can't remember what level that is. And I'm generally seen only playing in Free-for-alls (under this name). What are the other game modes like? How does the CTF compare to BF2 ? -- Banned since 2005, back by popular demand! They said it wouldn't happen!!
Saint Lazarus DROW Org Brotherhood of the Spider	Posted - 2007.12.27 21:54:00 - [7] You level up in MP to unlock new abilitys and weapons and yes, single and MP this is one of teh best FPS ever made, simply outstanding, was totally hooked all christmas xD The MP is balanced, fun, rewarding, deep, varied and more fun its everything ya want in a FPS but not too mixed up its all still perfectly balanced, tis a marvel I say. ------------------------------

Sreach and Destroy is basically CS which may be a ripoff but its god dam fun =D Gotta plant or stop a bomb and if you die gotta wait till rounds over, kills give 50 points (much more than DM) and you get match bonuses at the end of each round, so if yous good you get a **load of points, but it punishes you harshly if you aint... ------------------------------**

I thought all modern-day shooters were basically GRAW clones, but this one wasn't, it was true to the Call of Duty name, and I'm so happy for that. It bloody well pwns. I believe I'm a Capatin (lvl 31) and I've logged about 18h multiplayer. Here is my Xfire profile page, I've got a few personal favourite UK COD4 servers on there - best ones are the SFc ones in my opinion. Callsign is 'CompeerCaffeine', might see ya on there sometime. M16A4 ftw. I don't snipe much, I find it a little limiting - I like using the M16A4's perk-powered burstfire with the red-dot or ACOG scope for the same effect that I can manage. The UAV, airstrike and heli-support is good, explains how the soldiers can see the enemies, and not just have WW2 American super-soldiers with a super-compass.

I think I'm level 19 or so. Name is Last Wolf, you can usually find me in the Team Death Match 16-26 max players servers. I hate big 40 man servers where you die 5 seconds after you spawn because there are 25 people on the other team just randomly shooting in every direction trying to hit something.

I really enjoyed the single player campaign actually, apart from the vagueness of the CAPITAL OF THE MIDDLE-EAST! (roflmayonaise...) and the way it was structured. Loved the random Mile High Club at the end. Shame what happened at the end, I was so sad... long live Capt. Price's moustache! TDM ftw, I usually play on 20~32 man servers, not too slow paced, not too ridiculouslyspawnheadshotgrenadedieswearcensor fast either. I do occasionally play on the 52-man servers for a lol, and it is a SERIOUS lol when Shipment appears in the rota. Oh how I hate and love that map. grin

Kazuma Saruwatari	Posted - 2007.12.28 00:33:00 - [13] Multiplayer has a unique class-based system wherein you can "Create-a-class" mixing and matching different weapons with different perks. CoD4 also allows for an RPG-like way of "leveling up" to get new weapons, perks, and stuff that'll give you more options to work with, and not neccesarily better ones than the ones you get at lvl1. For example, I'm still on the M16 that you get at lvl 1, and people know this when they see the "Red Tiger" stripe camo on my gun, signifying I've completed the M16 Expert III challenge (which is 150 headshots cumulative). I've actually had people turn towards me, then either drop a flash/stun/nade, or shoot me whilst running away to cover, instead of duking it out with me. Weapon classes are greatly balanced as well. Assault rifles rule the short-mid to mid-long range. SMG's absolutely rock short-range. Sniper rifles are useless at any range you dont need a scope for, LMG's (machineguns) work best spraying, and shotguns are shotguns. Melee btw is a hotkey in this game, so you can also go ninja it up. (lvl55 "Commander", Red Tigers: M16, M4, M40A1, M21, Dragunov) - Odd Pod Out, a blog of EVE Online

It's the first FPS game that I've played for over a year now and I got straight back into the swing of things. HQ are my favourite at the moment. I'm working towards getting my Golden AK47 aswell hehe. The challenges keep me swapping guns and setups with different perks so that I don't get stuck in bad ways with bad habits which is nice. It's also nice to have an overall kill counter! I've played for about 18 hours and am about rank 44. :)

It just shows the sad state of todays games where 'eye candy' becomes more important than playability and the game. I have played it and completed it and it looks great but if you sc*****off all the glitz and glamour you will see that all you have is a game that requires you to press buttons at certain times then watch 3 mins of video then press buttons again. Good Points: Very cinematic, played like a film. Good NPC AI Difficulty levels scale well Bad Points: Not enough gameplay Lack of ingame freedom Horrible control system which cannot be fully user defined Short campaign,which is tedious after completion Final Verdict: 8/10

That level was blinking amazing, although I bloody HATE the dogs and the wait at the end before you get picked up. I hate timed bits... I was really gutted by the AFTERMATH section of the game, even though this COD was completely fictitious (wink wink) I felt a greater sense of camaraderie with my SAS and USMC NPC buddies, I'll admit I was a little sad what happened at the end. And why is it always the black man with the explosives? Also see: F.E.A.R and Team Fortress 2...
