If you're in to FPS's and want to play what's pretty much the best FPS on the market then yes. Now, I'm not a huge FPS fan and usually get bored after half an hour or so. I usually play when i'm bored, but, this game has had me hooked since i got it. I've so far racked up over 14 hours of playing since christmas day...

Anyway, nobody seems to like my fav weapon, the mp5 +red dot... that thing is a beast if you use it right. Second fav weapon... my trusty knife :D

Avery Fatwallet	Posted - 2007.12.30 07:56:00 - [39] well... i just finished it, twice. i have to say its a pretty fun game. its like watching a good action movie. altough some parts are really weird. like yahtzee would say: lets talk sh1ttyness. like... i hate these constant respawns. you kill somebody at a certain position and soon afterwards another soldier will take the post. now if you can repeat this more than 5 times you know youre in an "infinite spawn" area, where its best to push forward in a timely fashion, because only advancing will stop the spawns. if there arent any soldiers coming to take the post anymore, you know youre in a limited spawn area, ie. kill a set number and then advance. either way it can look stupid. i mean... one guy sticks its head out and gets it blown off, and the next comes to take a look where the bullet came from and BLAM again.... sometimes it just doesnt look right. but tbh most of the time the AI was fun to play with... so i can forgive my only beef with the game: the rather mechanical spawn mechanics. oh.. and its rather short. but what the heck, its so fully packed with fun and action so its not really a problem either. now... why everybody says the multiplayer is so great i really dont understand. its fun. its definetly fun. but its really really shallow. i mean its great for some quick, dirty and shallow fun, but i dont see myself playing it in two months. to summarize myself... cod4 is like a extremely sweet and magically compressed piece of candy. its unbelievable delicious and enjoyable for a limited amount of time, but all in all its rather useless for what it does its too expensive imho. but i can imagine it was no cheap game to produce. all in all one of the best shooters i ever played.

I found MP very hard to start with, but now I am getting the hang of it, it's so addictive! I am working through the different guns to silencer level, to find out which I enjoy using. The MP5 is a great gun, I also enjoy the M4 Carbine. Not unlocked the G3 or G36 yet, looking forward to that. 2 things I'd change though- the fact your stats are held locally is a but rubbish, as this could lead to hacking, but also means you can't hop onto a mate's PC and carry on playing unless you have your stats file on you And 2, the FFA deathmatch mode is just silly! -- 2d EveMaps

I always play on FFA Realism mode servers with my either silenced or scoped MP5(Or G3 with grenader launcher and sonic boom, thats FREAKING hardcore!!!!). Its definately the game with the best gameplay to date. Realism mode gives you no HUD which is fantastic, and the feel when you sprint or jump into things is great. Almost like they started it and then realized that they were making a fps multiplayer not a real game. 2. Upgraded Counter Strike multiplayer. Maps are almost the same size. Stole the BF2 idea of upgrading weapons with rank. Slow hp regen which is different from CS. Still just a fancy Counter Strike. Same run, gun, stun nade strategy from CS. Exact same strategy! Proof that people can call eye candy "UBER AWESOME" as they repeat the same 24/7 servers for hours on end.

From the main menu. Multiplayer > xbox live > barracks. At the buttom of ur stats u can see how long u have played

I don't have it - but my common sense tells me that it's probably just there for nostalgia's sake. I mean, it's a WW2-era weapon up against modern-day ones, I'm not even sure whether it's got any attachments available for it, it's probably just for the 'leetness', and the status of being Lv55 or whatever the prerequisite rank is to unlock it.
