Well, what to say about march? Pretty average payout, 2.4 bil total profit resulting in about 8.5k per share paid out. Doing a %ROI on 100k is a bit misleading these days, though I will maintain it to keep track on how much of an original investment has been returned through dividends.
Nothing particularly noteworthy about these profits. They are a bit down due to my *real* moneymakers being in research resulting in a weeks production of sub-standard lines. Though I'm sure you'll agree it's for the better. Yeah, I could've just bought replacements while I researched but then I'd have to research them too, and it was just an inconvenience more than anything in some pretty time-constricted RL periods.
So the bad news. Profits were average, but the big hitter was some fairly bad loss of NAV. Due to a scam (evemail went out about this one, so I won't detail), suicide gank and some extortion, I lost a total of 1.3 bil this month.
The suicide gank resulted in 300 mil of lost nav on a Rhea blueprint. Yeah, they sell for 450mil, i scored this one for 300 mil so that's the actual "loss" for DB. I got complacent and forgot the AP would send me on the "highway to hell" (y'know, the typical path you'd get from Sinq Liason(sp?) to Jita). Was semi afk playing COD 4 when the shuttle (dons flamesuit) was popped by a stealth bomber.
And the other 500mil? Yeah, got my hi-sec research POS ransomed. I only had 8 hours before I noticed it, and RL commitments prevented me getting any structures down in time to minimize costs. Just one of those months :/
Will sort out the shareholder list soon. Might get a NAV calculation together too. Gotta dash for now but...

Seriously? Sorry... but in a shuttle? Why on earth do you even own a shuttle? Anyone carrying anything in a shuttle deserves to lose it, period. I sure hope you learned to never ever for any reason put anything in a shuttle again

In an unexpected change in RL circumstances, I'm unfortunately going to be closing down Dusk Blade, discontinuing monthly dividend payments.
Towards that end, I'll be paying out what I consider to be a fair share of Dusk Blade's NAV to myself and shareholders.
Why are you taking ISK for yourself?
Dusk Blade's initial NAV from opening was about 6 billion, 4 billion in public assets, and 2 billion in my own assets. I didn't disclose it because I didn't see it as a problem with what I intended with the company. However, it was an issue I was going to address soon.
I still want some ISK too because Dusk Blade's closure is due to my now-inability to play the game when I *have* to play it, I.E I can no longer maintain my manufacturing lines regularly. I will still be playing however, just incredibly infrequently.
Payouts and the like DB currently has approximately 12-16 billion in assets, including: Materials to manufacture T2 components, T2 Components on-market, T2 Components in the oven (total about 12 billion) Blueprints for said components (all researched to ME 10) Large Shadow Serpentis Tower BPC Dread Guristas Small Tower Caldari Navy Raven Transport Ships, est value 400 mil Charon
That's about it for major assets pertaining to Dusk Blade and anything bought for Jman.
Over the next two to three weeks I'll be liquidating components and materials. Once I have a solid figure of how much liquid ISK I have for shareholders, I will pay out somewhere between 200-300k per share. Where possible, I will be keeping solid assets and filling my own pocket with ISK to an approximate value of 4-5 billion ISK, meaning shareholders will expect to get somewhere between 200-300k isk per share. I will also mail Balogh to let him know DB shares should no longer be traded on RESX
I hope this will be a suitable payment for shareholders,, I understand at one point DB shares were being bought for 300k and sold for 400k, although I haven't seen a *massive* amount of movement of shares lately, I imagine my payout will recoup most losses for larger or later investors, and will be a nice bonus for people who purchased their shares early.
Many apologies for having to end this so suddenly, but it's unfortunately necessary, and would be unfair on shareholders to continue under my new circumstances.
Oh, and I will be making one last dividend payout at the end of this month. Also, I do not require the shares to be returned. In fact, I'll probably forget to pay you if you do. Wait for the EVEmail on Dusk Blade Shareholders mailinglist before getting rid of any shares.

I can't help but feel slightly down about your closure. I have grown very used to the regular flash of my wallet every month with some of the best returns available currently.
Dusk Blade is was my first investment (and regret only investing 10mil into it) but it has given me faith in IPO's.
o7 Kylar, thanks for the great returns

Shame you're closing up shop, DB has been the best IPO over the past year, well done.

Just touching base to say I just paid out a final dividend of 2 billion ISK for manufacturing in April (3 weeks worth of manufacturing). Liquidation of assets is coming along slowly but surely, a more accurate figure of what ISK will be returned in the final closure looks to be around 250-300k per share.

Dusk Blade has now completed it's liquidation. Shareholders have been paid out approximately 260,000 ISK per share. Thanks to everyone who participated, apologies for having to close .D.B. so unexpectedly. Apologies also for the formatting of this final share list, I'm still suffering the side-effects of having a tooth ripped out a couple days ago
For shareholders who kept a tight grip of their shares from day one when they bought them at 100k each, that's now turned into 323,600 ISK per share after dividends and this final liquidation payout over an 8 month period.
But Dusk Blade is still open?!? As an organisational entity for my alts to share resources when I have the chance to play, Dusk Blade will still exist. But it's no longer a dividend paying corp.
Enjoy the payout, and thanks muchly for your support and trust over the months.

Well done, very sorry to see you close this down but you have done very well for both yourself and your shareholders. Should you ever find yourself with more time to play again and give this another go I'll throw money at you in a second. Take care and thanks.
