What would delay the inevitible just a tad longer if you're in an industrial scrammed and getting toasted and your choices for 'tanking' it were 3 Medium F-S9 Regoliths and 3 Invun field IIs?
All extenders? 2 ext. and a field? 2 fields and a extender? or what? All the lows are for WCSs.
I suck at math. Can ya help an old Dotard out?

... if you are in an indy, and you are scramed, you are dead. Unless you happen to have a capitol you are hot-dropping in.... but even then, you are usually dead.

Edited by: Jameroz on 29/12/2007 03:40:14 I suggest you download Eve Fitting Tool. It can tell you how much damage you're able to take with your setup.
Ship, skill and the type of damage the enemy inflicts play a role in deciding which is more efficient. But I would say you're probably better off with 3 medium extenders.

Assuming t2 stop fitting shield extenders when the next shield extender adds less than 30% to your total shield.

Edited by: CrayC on 29/12/2007 21:32:08 I was bored, so here it is:
Using the biggest industrial of all 4 races (since you did not specify which one you are flying), filling all lowslots with T1 stabs and using the mentioned modules AND NOTHING ELSE, the following is what EFT tells me (with all skills maxed)...
3 extenders, effective HP: Bestower: 9.634 Badger II: 9.799 Iteron V: 10.975 Mammoth: 9.852
2 extenders, 1 invul: Bestower: 9.546 Badger II: 10.008 Iteron V: 11.117 Mammoth: 9.921
1 extender, 2 invuls: Bestower: 8.104 Badger II: 8.916 Iteron V: 9.947 Mammoth: 8.681
3 invuls: Bestower: 4.841 Badger II: 5.929 Iteron V: 6.898 Mammoth: 5.571
All in all, using 2 extenders and 1 invul gives the most effective HP, if you are being hit with all 4 damage types equally. Oh, and in case you are using the Hoarder, with 2 extenders and 1 invul, your effective HP is 9.239...
Edit: In case of Hoarder, it is actually MORE efficient to run with 3 extenders, granting you 9.261 hp
