I wonder if CCP is going to give back what they have taken: Chat channels are now indistinguishable when minimized, so how, for example, can I see if corp has something new for me but I really don't care for jita local?
Another feature deployed succesfully and working as intended? 18 months maybe? I'd pay with Aurum to get the old minimizing mechanic back... Eve community: An angry mob of bright people hunting witches, more torches, more hay forks, growing and growing. |

Please also add the ability to minimize the "chat request" windows!

It would be nice if we could get the date back on the neo com.
With a global customer base it is far easier to give dates and times using Eve time. Before the neocom change you had the date and time at the bottom of the neocom. Now it is just the time. I find it ironic that in an attempt to make the neocom more flexible and alterable to what the user wants that the date was not only removed but that there was not an option to put it back.
Oh, while your at it you might make it so you can have the option to change the calender to start on Sunday instead of Monday, PTA that is. On top of that how about the option to set the date as Month/Day/Year or Day/Month/Year or Year/Day/Month instead of whatever it is now. |

Double click on "empty space" (you know it when you have targeting icon instead of arrow) inside chat window (or next to multiple tabbed chats inside one window.) It will "minimize" the stack at the bottom and you can see individual chats blinking. I agree I dont understand wtf they were smoking when deciding minimize hides chat windows behind same button. |

I share your concern here Ashina Sito, I find it very annoying that I now have to click a button to verify the date in EVE when I am cutting paychecks and working on balance sheets for the corporation. What once was a normal function now seems was a luxury to have. Please CCP if you fix anything, fix the time on the new Neocom to show date/time. |

To make this easier.... here is the complete "new neocom offers all this" feature list:
- Forced reconfiguration of every character after deployment to get icons to the places they were in (many key icons are missing from the bar and are in wrong order). - Forced window location / size reset to several windows during deployment and apparently during neocom updates also. - Having a minimise button that makes thinks completely vanish killed window labels and ability to quickly and easily follow local count and blinking chat names. - Opening minimized chat windows takes 2 clicks and some menu browsing instead of 1 simple click. - You can not tell which chat is blinking by just looking the minimized window label. - In old neocom blink activated on event, blinked couple times and left icon highlighted for each new event. In new neocom 1st event activates permanent blink. No way to know about additional events than the 1st one. - Contract button doesn't light up at all. - Journal button doesn't light up at all. - There is very commonly used icons right next to the undock button. - Ships and items icons are in opposite order related to old neocom and they can not be switched around. - Random useless junk appearing to neocom bar when doing invention, opening cargo containers and so on. - Character name was removed making it harder to multibox and quickly tell which client you're using. - Increased memory usage (dunno if this got fixed already or not) - Date was removed from the clock

Once again, the new features have their place, and I like the new neocom for the most part, I agree that the old minimizing of chat windows should have remained in place as another option.

Adding my support for bringing back lost important functionality.
1. Date. For ****'s sake, add the date back on! I've heard your reason for removing it, and frankly it's a pile of bullshit. How about a solution that's worthy of belonging to people who make software for a living: provide an option for users to display the date or not. However, please make the date.display=true the default.
2. Minimizing windows, esp. chat windows. Yes you can collapse them into a single line, but this is a workaround to return some semblance of lost functionality.
3. Minimizing chat requests. Probably ties into 2.
4. Annoying way to display blink notifications will be fixed when..?
5. Excessive display of buttons that shouldn't even have a Neocom button (scanner, cargo containers when in space, etc.) This "feature" is bugged anyway.
How many times have these things been mentioned by various people? Either say "we will fix, soon" or "we won't fix this and that and this and here's the reason".
Meanwhile in Iceland... CCP quietly sits on their hands and waits for people to get tired of requesting the return of lost functionality so they don't have to do anything. Problem solved! Moar champagne, gar+ºon! |

Yea about chat channels,my mind is blown how they messed them up. It is horrible atm. Workaround with stacks and double ckicking is not working that good either. |

Yeah looks like CCP went the Apple/smartphone route with their new interface. Yeah cool shiny stuff I can drag around but you have obfuscated several key data sources in the process. Please leave the shinies on your iPad and try to figure out ways to give us MORE data in an easy to read/understand format, not "oooh look drag and drop buttons (drool)". Dumbing things down does just that - makes them dumber. |

In the end it's their attitude which is NOT EXCELLENCE. It feels like there are only working three developers on features and the 50 others are fixing stuff internally. Eve community: An angry mob of bright people hunting witches, more torches, more hay forks, growing and growing. |
