nightmare with tachs; slow and maybe not cap stable ( gist tank)
great range and damage
or
vargur with 800's; fast, and good damage with good ranges but uses ammo
im going to train for either one of these ships on my crystal set implant clone
your opinions please

Forget Vargur, in its current state it sucks.
Train for Nighthawk, best / most flexible mission runner for typical L4's.

If he wants to be diffarent, i would go for the nightmare.

As long as you stick to enemies weak to EM, the new Nightmare is the best mission ship around atm if you don't mind paying attention while mission running. Uber Gist shieldtank, spare meds for TC, SeBo and AB, and wtfbbqomgpwn damage at very long range with great tracking. The only little drawback is that it is just a little costly :D
The Vargur is pretty crappy tbh, even with all that falloff you will still miss tons of shots beyond 25ish km with ACs, and the dps isn't all that hot to begin with.

while i prolly shoudnt be sayign this since i want one to be left for me, it is, technicaly, better than a maurader at DMG as it gets a 125% dmg bonus if u have caldari BS 5, which u would have if u have trained for mauraders, so it is better than a t2 battleship, :P
100% base bonus to laser DMG (same as mauraders get) +
5% dmg bonus to lasers per caldari battleship bonus
mind i dont know if the mauraders have someting similar, i coudnt care about them, but the nightmare is just pure extasy

Erm, no.
It doesn't get +125% bonus with caldari BS5, but rather two bonuses, one of which is flat 100% increase and the other one is +25% - that makes a hell lot of difference actually. So it's a +150% in damage increase per gun if compared with, say, Apoc.
BTW: what is the point of a cap stability you keep saying about?  There's none actually. Go kill stuff in a proper way or stick to cookie-cutter Ravens.
