Edited by: Sofitia Mourtos on 16/06/2008 15:54:46 I disagree with a lot that have been posted - I (think I) understand the perspectives of why people are saying what they are saying... (I also agree with a lot that have been said)
Never the less, since I am only a minor shareholder in SYDR I do not really have the motive (nor backing) to get into the entire mud-fight... I will just accept Eve-banks hostile-takeover offer, and make a few mental notes.
finally just wondering how much SP does Ricdics have ? ---------------------------------------- WTB: Guardian BPO |

Sofitia. You don't need to accept our offer. You can hold the isk and pray that MasterTAO returns if you prefer.

Interesting situation that CEO's in future make sure that underwriting procedures are clear.
In this case EBank acted as an underwriter on the shares/bonds and gauranteed the FACE VALUE of the shares/bonds in the case of default. In the terms of the IPO it is entirely reasonable that EBank makes a profit on the underwriting. If the value of the BPO got nerfed they would still have had to pay.
In future IPO's it would be advisable for the CEO to provide collateral with the proviso that in default the collateral be LIQUIDATED and all funds generated be split between shareholders, minus an appropriate commision (this would have to be negotiated obviously).
It is also clear that Banks/Trustees holding collateral have responsibilities, and it is right that they charge for this service. In this case producing off a T2 BPO looks entirely reasonable.

Update ------------
I managed to catch MasterTAO on msn just now. Long story short, he is currently working a lot in RL, just moved house and doesn't have computer access. There is no timeframe for when he will/may be back, at this point he doesn't know if he will be returning to Eve.
MasterTAO has requested his apologies be forwarded to his investors and I have confirmed with him that I will action the closure and buyback on all SYDx related ventures.
In the case of the assets on hand, they will be held by EBANK until such a time as MasterTAO returns from his extended leave (if he ever returns) and some form of agreement will be organised for him to get his assets back. He is aware we are using the Damnation bpo to turn profit in production in order to cover the isk being lost due to buyback.
So now it's official guys. MasterTAO may or may not return some time in the future, however as of right now all of the SYD operations have officially been closed. No more dividends will be forthcoming on any of these stocks. Your only reimbursement option is with EBANK, and it will be held open for at least 3 months.
Thanks for your time, Ricdic.
