If we ignore price.
Assuming all normal missile skills at 5.
Torp spec 4
Cruise missiles (standard) at 4
which does more base damage to a big fat npc battleship?
Javlins do less damage but have more speed (range) than normal torpedoes)
Cruise missiles do less damage but have more speed/range than normal torpedoes.
Which is best? (ignoring price)

So a good strategy for ratting / missions would be tech 2 torp launchers. use javlins at BS that are far away, use normal torps that are close by, and let the javlins/drones take care of BC, CR and FR?

my torp javelins go to 40km with BS5, bombardment/velocity skills to 4 but thats with no rigs. with a few bay loading accelerators on you could prolly get 60km with javelins

No a good strategy for ratting/missions is tech 2 cruise missile launchers with t1 cruise missiles.
You rat/mission to make isk. t2 torps will generate lower isk/h than t1 cruise.

Javelin torps will cost a fair amount, and the fittings on T2 siege launchers are atrocious. I would go with T1 cruise missiles.

If you actually enjoy missions running and ratting, feel free to send me the isk. I really do need it, I recently lost my sense of smell and am now unable to work.
Another consideration is that cruise take less to fit. I don't fly a raven myself, but I would assume that would allow a better tank.
