Hm, strange, got the same problem till 0.30 gmt today, then it was gone...seems to be some kind of SQL database problem, and they simply need more time to clean it up...

Same problem here.
No fun at all like this.
Just found this. Cleaning the cache also did the trick with me. (Removed everything execpt prefs.ini and settings map)

Just tried this and it worked for me...find your Cache file (probably C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\cache) and go the into that folder and each sub-folder and clear down all the files (jpgs, dds etc apart from the Prefs.ini mentioned - BUT NOT THE FOLDERS THEMSELVES). If you're not sure about deleting stuff, just copy the whole cache folder to a new directory just in case. Once all the Cache sub-folders are cleared out, it should work again. Only real problem is that your game will have to re-remember all the Character's faces again and probably some other stuff too.

ive patched and the game wont even start. i get the very 1st graphic, on the desktop, and thats it. nothing else happens.

erm...can anyone tell me if there is an indicator to show if the game im paying of is going to be accessible any time soon (tm) its really annoying to get charged for dt when it is double the time advertised. Devs be polite - put up an eta indicator and extended-dt explanation - makes me feel less like a sheep in an amsterdam backstreet

I also can not patch EVE from CD to 1424 due to patch errors, failed crc, checksum, can not verify file, ect ect I think I've gotten them all now.
I also can not install the 1424 client, as at the end of the unpackaging process, it gives me a CRC error message and tells me to try /NCRC command, which also does not work.
I downloaded the 1413 client and installed it just fine, but I can not patch it successfully. Same errors as above.

now nothing....dunno which is worse. and im not very amused at it at all...

I have a CD with the version 1352, i tried installing the game in my new computer, the automatic patcher doesnt work, and after manualy patching, the game doesnt load up, basicly u see those 2 (3?) claws engaging the amarrian Armaggedon n Omen for 1 ( ONE ) second, it disapears, and tahts it.
Plz help me

Whatever the Newest Patch is as of Today, isn't working for me . I get message " Patch has downloaded but failed verification, please try again" well i did try again , again and again . Got the same message over and over ?
Whats the problem here ?

ok, im more than ****ed off right about now, i downloaded the patch using the client an got the same error message you guys have gotten, i try to run eve, it just crashes, i try to un-install "cannot un-install because the installer is corrupted" i delete everything an try to re-install "cannot install because the installer is corrupted" OMG you know how long it takes to download a 450mb file on a 56k modem!!? an please, no smart ass remarks about getting a fat pipe, if i could i would. trust me. so i really dont know what to do now, im just glad i set indy 4 training  if someone works out WTF is going wrong here, please share

ok I am up and running
ok I did a fresh install to the defualt directory
patched it all the way to 1424 downloaded the patch (not the autodownload)
installed it and it patched it good as
I have lost all my cache and all my favorite in games sites I will have to spend days reorginising bookmarks
Again CCP disappoints me again and again over their buggy implementation of patches

If you get errors in autoexec.py (like me) and recently edited that file to fix the DirectX 9.0b "bug", just set the musthave variable back to the original value:

just wish i had a new install file to hand, but for some reason when i did this patch, everything to do with eve became corrupted, including my installer. eve is on the PCG coverdisks apprarently so ill go buy that tomorrow an let you know

I cant even log on im getting the unable to connect, Ive checked my firewall and its allowing Eve,and my fing internet connection cant be down as im writing this. So what the hell is going on. We shouldnt be charged for this
