If you encounter problems with patching the client to 1411 then please tell us what patch you are using and where you are getting it from.
If you get errors then tell us what error message comes and if there is some logfile send it to [email protected] with some description where and what patch you where trying to apply.
Then it is good to have specs on you PC and OS so we can try to find out what is causing this.

I found that when I moved the "logserver.exe" to my desktop, EvE would not patch, this last patch, but i saw the patch error and I moved the "logserver.exe" program back to EvE's directory and proper folder.
Then I made a shortcut to it, so I can easily access it before firing up EVE....and keep the logserver.exe where its suppose to be in EvE's directory. EvE couldn't find it and wanted to patch it and thus stopped patching.
Moral of the story....
EvE wont patch if you move files around....
....make "shortcuts" to EvE files if need be .... do not "move" files out of EvE''s directories or EvE may not patch at all.

I dont get my options popup when I hit exit. im using a geforce fx 5200 with 5.3.0.4 driver. I tried a rollback on my driver and its still the same thing. so im not sure if its the game or the driver causing my error.

I brought eve a few weeks ago and the auto patch failed trying to patch the cd to version 1403 got the error patch verfication failure.
I got the same error going from 1403 to 1411 and 1411 to 1413.
Had to download the patch manually in each case.
Couldn''t see anything relevant in any log file just the last successful manual patch

I had the crashing problem when I hit esc key for options. It was because I set advancedDevice=1 in the prefs.ini file. Setting advancedDevice=0 stoped the crashing.
advancedDevice=1 worked with all the older patch's.

I guess the reason it wont search for stuff outside its own directory is the whole test version philosophy...
So if u move stuff of course it's gonna go spastic.
If u wanna run the test patches u need another copy of it, and if it checked for the target folder itself, u may end up patching ur main copy instead of the test copy...
Becomes a bit of a mess then I guess.

i donwloaded the full build from the site last month, installed and paid for it, then i had to manually update it, and todays patch i also had to manually download the patch

Patching to 1411? The only patches I can get are to 1424. Is this why my client is crashing after the Splash screen appears?
I've sent DxDiag and Logserver files to the Technical Support email address.

If game dies for you right after splash screen (before login) try this. Copy: all "*.py" and "strings.txt" files from EVE/scripts/sys/ to EVE/scripts/common/sys/ directory.

Uninstalled and reinstalled and now after patching bugger all happens. I double click my icon/s and it begins to start then quits before bringing the login screen up.

checksum error -- manually download [bottom of download page has link] the apparently offending "stuff" file and unzip it into the correct directory. CCP says this'll fix that problem and the patch should then work.

All Avatars pics are messed up. Those in dark lighting are now in bright lights and vice versa.
Some ship icons aren't showing.

since the patch to day , i can log onfine np but all I get after carcter selection is black screen. I can see people logging on that are in my buddies list but that is it. My Bf shows I'm logged on his computer. But I can't play. What is wrong??? we can't find anything wrong with my computer as it is brand new not quite a month old even. anyhelp would be great,especially since my account is payed up for 3months an now I can't play.

I have the exact EXACT same problem as Mara Morai
I also would like to know what's up. It worked fine before the patch.
I'm trying for 10-days and was seriously thinking of buying but I doubt I will if this isn't fixed in 5 days.

im in game but no agent, no corp members list, i open a channel it say there is ppl in there but i cant see them, i cant see anything and anyone in the chat box, when i open my message box its all blank not even a single letter, not an option whats going on, this hapend when i installed new patch :S what should i do?? not fun playing EVE if theres none to talk to :(

Having the same problem with the black screen on the game. strange thing is my alt character works just not my main one, and if u press esc it goes to the options menu perfectly, then close window and same black screen. haven't got any skills training so that's nearly 24hours wasted already. hopefully will be sorted out soon pls.

I have the BSOD on all 3 of my characters 
I can hear the station noises and escape brings up the options menu fine, but Eve itself is very black...
Maybe I've been fidgeting around in my pod & dislodged some sensory wiring?
