Anti-pirates? Lol
It's everyone for themselves I think, since I didn't do a damn thing and got attacked by a self-proclaimed "anti-pirate" corp.
If gangking anyone you don't know is "anti-pirate" then I guess I'll be finding a pirate corp for protection.

Pirates vs. anti-pirates, good vs. evil...all different sides of the same coin. Its just pew pew with a lots of boredom added. And the good ones winning over the evil ones is something that only happens on TV.
But if you want to go into it, here is a hint. Make a pilgrims voyage to "New Eden", enter this area either via "Antem" or "Chej". Some Pirate corps live there, most of them with a sec-status below -5.
Bring a Recon, some stealth bombers, and a cov ops as safespot buster (they use to lurk the gates out of overview range).
Make sure, you kill some of their "fledgelings", lets say, 2 or 3, then the fun part begins : Getting out of there (without Logoffski, of course !).
Prepare to face some nice Gatecamps with 10 angry BSŠs and support. Exit the area either via Kor-a-zor (lame), Solitude (medium) or Aridia (hard).
Some of the guys are really worth their salt, so donŠt complain if you get a ride on the clone express.
This way you can: get some kills, feel like an anti-pirate, getting a nice adrenaline rush, train your fighters in teamwork, and get good training for stealth tactics in general.
DonŠt smack (if they smack in local...see it as a bonus, but dont respond), and donŠt do it too often. They might get pi**ed, and work something out for you...
Enjoy !

Being anti-pirate/navy is really tough in lowsec. More often then not, once a pirate at a station sees the odds are no longer in his griefing favor, they will pull a dock-tank. "But what about the 20 second timer you get for hostile actions!?" Hah, good luck killing 3 megathrons in 20 seconds with ANYTHING.
We had an armageddon outside of station once (his buddies were prealigned), with 3 drakes, raven, scorp and Archon on him. Had him in structure but he docked. The only large ship I have seen destroyed in less than 20 seconds was a speed tanked sleipnir, and that took a dozen people to pull off.

The aggro timer for docking is a lot longer than 20 seconds. You might wanna time it out with a stopwatch some time. :) ----- CEO, Astrum Contract Services Group

They seem to have a big presence, I just moved there.
Correction: foundation *are* pirates. They just set targets to -10 before shooting them, for roleplay reasons. By "big presence", you mean "occasional 30-man blob that fails to achieve much".

Fixed.

Ill honestly admit some pirates do smack(though those are the fail ones..VETO/KK/Turby and other good ones that i can remember dont smack)but honestly ALOT of carebears do smack. Also just so you know those "ebil gatecamping nubs" arent nubs for ganking everything that comes through.....thats the whole point of a camp BTW The vigil may keep on fighting but alls you really do is make everyones KB better (I still remember when you decided it was a good i dea to wardec veto kk and dl all at the same time) Your sig burn is weak
If by "Your sig burn is weak" You mean that "Orar is obviuosly alot cooler then me and I fail Very hard" Then i concur with your statement |

I find pvp fun and enjoyable, but my corp won't let me engage in illegal activities.
Thus, antipirating. Soon I'll be moving out to 0.0 though, where I can shoot anyone that's not blue (preferably in a gang... my SPs are split between combat and industry - jack of all trades, master of none, as they say) ----- My in Eve Profile My BattleClinic Page |

Originally by: flashfresh I haven't seen many effective anti-pirates; mainly because it is a tough job and targets (i.e. pirates) can be few and far between. If anti-pies do spot pirates, we're usually NOT alone.
I know of only one anti-pirate (personally) who is good. 50FreeFly. However, this individual has recently jumped to the darkside and now pirates with Blood Corsair's...
The United Freemen Alliance [UFC] are an anti-pirate alliance that I have had dealings with. Give them a shout. 'Purify' is one the corps.

Well there really is no such thing as a anti pirate. There are Pirates and Bounty hunters though, and they both should be doing it for the PVP/ISK combo. Anyone doing it for other reasons is just a murderer. Oh and if there is not a corp of "anti-pirates", why dont you just make one?

We will break up blinky gate camps if we have people on and we hear about them but most of the time the pirates cut and run before we get there.
But that's ok. If I were them I'd be afraid of us too. -

Just to add to the post on anti-pirates.
Another decent anti-pirate corp we've encountered is United Kingdom Mayhem, part of the Capital Storm alliance. We've had some fun pew-pew with them and they're pretty good. Good tactics, good ships, no smack and good fights.
