Originally by: Yumis So your just saying that KOS is good, but they dont have enough combat pilots, or TS discipline?
Well the TS disciple has improved no end in the last 2 weeks, the fleet ops are becoming great and alot of the non combat pilots have come a long way.
And you say not enough combat pilots? I think you are reading the forums to much iiOs, we have repelled nearly every invasion in the last week with a equal or larger fleet.
You were in a KOS corp for nearly 2 weeks and you sound like the voice of experience? I choose to play the game in the game and not in the forums, I suggest you dont believe everything you read.
Tales often tell lies. From both sides.
Im just comparing the facts and the tales. Not saying one or the other is true. KOS has to a good extent repelled the resent attacks. Alltho I dont feel these attacks have had other purpose than to **** KOS off. Thus not beeing full launched assaults.
I also said that in the lack of KOS experience, im talking from my feelings and the input i get ingame aswell as on the forums.
im guessing your not even in kos. im guessing you are just attempting to start yet ANOTHER pile on kos flamefest thread.
im guessing you are a troll amirite?

ii0s I'm sorry to see you have departed from D3ath's ranks, I'm sure you know about my connection issues and I wish I had been around to talk you round but what's done is done.
I agree with some points in reference to the flaws.
In reference to those offering nothing but more personal attacks upon members from KoS or ex-members, show some damn respect and civility. Sure KoS may not be the best alliance but at least the majority of their members know how to keep a civil tongue in their damn mouth.

carebear only cares for himself, his wallet and is not to be relied upon in a emergency as they will jump ship to the next flavor of carebear alliancce. These alliances normally bankrupt pvpers by ripping them off and offering almost no subsadies.
Other alliances have industry and carebears attitude set right. In other words, part or all of the industry machine is set to work towards outfitting their pvpers, so the pvpers can fight 24/7. These types of alliances work well.
And thats the problem. Never give carebears power - they will always end up running the alliance like a isk farmer. Insted, get carebears involved into building up a hard ass pvp force, and get that pvp force aware that they will never go bankrupt with all these carebears supporting them. The pvpers will protect the carebears as the carebears are the income source, and the carebears can do their thing
The Army does not expect its soldiers to buy their own body armour... well, perhaps the brittash army does, but untill carebears look past their wallets, carebear alliances are doomed forever.
Though its aimed at the alliance im in :P, but its one of the few good CAOD posts in the last 2 - 3 weeks,(maybe more) . Please accept my donation of 5 mil isk + a T1 cruiser of choice. (will do it when i get back to EvE, been on EvE-rehab for 2 weeks now).

Take it from someone who was in KOS for 3-4 months, there group work is just plane BAD.
Got caught outside by a intie that I could not hit, Was inside our home system, with only a single red in system, and 10+ Blues (most of them active as well), 10 mins later I hit Amour and I lost a Raven to a Intie, in my home system.
I'm sorry, but any allance that can not get a single ship to respond in over 10 mins, is just sad.
Also, this did not happen once, but time and time again. They have lsot ships outside of statino becuse no one would undock, and when a group was ready to undock, half the people whole not undock, and you normally got popped (a BS got caught out side of the station with 2 Reds, 8 people said they would Undock, My self and a command ship(in my corp) undocked, NO ONE ELSE.
I am amazed that KOS has held its ground so well, as you can fly into any of there systems and not meet any resistance.
Also, place a single AFK cloaker in there system, and they will never undock to help anyone out of fear of lose.
iiOs, I support pretty much everything you say. It was left to the Corps to help run Allance logistics, corps had to soruce everything themselfs, and there was never any interaction between corps. Trying to get stuff jumpped down, if you dont own a carrier themselfs, was next to impossible.
I have been in 5-6 allances right now, and KOS has to be the worest. ISS even comes in on top of them (maybe not now, but 10 months ago).
Oh well, theres my ***** done.

Originally by: Kozak I think KOS has all the right tools to be a good alliance. The biggest problem with alliances falling apart is that they are so affraid of loosing any members, they don't make the hard decisions, like kicking those that don't pull their weight. It's hard to kick those that you consider friends, but if you want to be a stong entity, you have to make sure everyone is on the same page.

Originally by: iiOs I just wanted to share some toughts and personal oppinions with the people out there. Those who feel an interest of reading it does, the rest, well, they flame me as usual.
This is a feeling, some insight, and some summaries of my short time in the alliance of KOS.
KOS is at first inside glance, a friendly, large alliance. Theres is somewhat good industrial capabilities, and the entire market situation is quite good for that beeing of a deep, deep 0.0 alliance.
The memberbase is not to evenly spread when it comes to TZ, and the makeup and organization of pvp/industrial/carebears are somewhat unclear, seeing the alliance currently holds 2 chunks of space.
The military backbone consists of a few mere corps with somewhat PvP ability, and a huge load of people who wants to, but aint really professionals. The military organisation of the entire KOS alliance, is poor, and has difficulties functioning as a unit. The will to fight and survive is emense. But the fear of loosing personal assets somewhat overshadows the focus of one for all, all for one.
KOS was seen to have many, and powerfull allies. But is alone when it all came to call. This beeing for some and many of the high ranking officers oppinions and attitudes; I dont know. But someone has stepped someone else on the toes, no doubt.
"You have not been with us long enough to judge us!"
Perhaps not, but you can get a pretty good feel bout things, even tho you spend just a few weeks with them.
For the corp I was a part of; I have nothing to say but good words. Alltho good words cant save a corp from the neglect and stupidity of an entire alliance. It does not always come down to numbers, and 4000 ppl with 200 PvP'ers running its campaign against an alliance, with half the numbers, but 5 times the amount of PvP'ers is bad. Mkay ? ;)
The few ops I got to attend before my untimely leave of the alliance were all but organized. 3-4 jumps took up to 1-2 hours. People had no respect for com-silence, and the whole line of commands were taken with a bag full of WTFBBQRELAX. No focus of fire, and failure to engage primaries and secondaries, even tho spesifically beeing told targets by FCs. The whole feel of "OMGWERGETTINGBBQED" was strong. Beeing an ex ASS member, I remember Lordmix' rules of engagement. "1. OBEY ME OR I KILL YOU" & "2. See rule 1!".
People seem to have gotten a tad high on the drug of SP and isk.
In short, I feel the KOS alliance to be nothing more then a heep of selfinflated ******s. That beeing said, theres quite a few good souls that tries to keep it all together down there. Pitty that two ships dont make a titan. If you catch my drift.
KOS alliance, as it was 14 days ago. Is a good place to bee for those of us that embrace the aspect of the game that does not include "KILLALL WINALL!" and "BBQTHEM". Alltho, I found it to be good for getting fights. Not even I want to be BBQ'ed on a regular basis. So it might be just as well that I was accused of beeing a spy for AAA.
I would like this thread to be an open discussions, as to why large alliances, like KOS, ASCN and others, come to fall on their own stupidity. What would a perfect alliance with no mongering enemies be ?
There will always be powerstruggles, Im sure. But what is the make of a great alliance. And what is the make of a failure ?
Ah, the monthly KOS rant, how amusing For some extra laugh, check the moon coverage of their op systems. I would take bets of how they look like
Seriously, KOS is around for such long time now, although declared dead and whatnot times and times again, I think its just their style and they do fine that way.
Best wishes KOS, still remember the times we had together!
And now sent 11ty BILLIONZ ISKSS TO MINERZZ HELPA ... ATT ONZCE!11!!!! (Couldnt resist, sorry)
