Edited by: Kirjava on 04/01/2008 19:43:58 Still on forums yes. There will be a loss, but since A-WAR started camping the area it has been hard to move around (I lost empty haulers to them just trying to get them in). I haven't actualy logged in for a few day's so I'll give moving another go. There are a few towers still there - I got paranoid about unanchoring them after the last loss.

I will not be stating my plans as stating my plans before resulted in the loss of multiple towers. There is a fix in the works and I will tell you after it is done.
[Note to the individual I was chatting to - connection died again, Onetel got bought over by talk talk and they are in the process of switching connections over]

Chears - it would have just been boring I suppose if nothing happened. At least I suppose the people in MD will take note not to invest in lowsec POS work in future, it is just too risky and the large proffit margins while real are representitive of the difficulty/risks.

An update - my ISP Onetel was bought over and so I had to reset everything for TalkTalk. For the past few days I have been piggybacking routers within range and using public computers to access the forums, so this is why noone has seen me login. Hopefully there is a fix being worked on at TalkTalks end (had been handled badly) that will allow me access to a computer that; 1) does not drop connections every 30 seconds due to low signal quality and someone walking in the way
2) Is powerful enough to run Eve (Library computers run Windows 95)
Hope to be getting back in to sort it out gameside as opposed to the curent way...... Kirjava out.

They say it will be fixed today - will escrow it to citizen and hopefully the bids will come in for the moons, I had them on the market. The POS towers aren't defending anything so they have the shields up when offline same HP as the bubble - do you want me to waste isk fueling them when I can't even login?

To be honest I had hoped to keep the corps name because EDINA is the gaelic name for my city, Edinburgh.... Ahwell, if things don't work out for you Kwint I would be willing to part with a few M isk just for the corps name

Since (assuming Kwint has sent the isk/assets to Ric, doing it by the book) this is goign through, the operation will have all materials inside stations, and hence for the sake of arguement safe from being blown up. I am unsure as to how much isk will be able to be refunded, my rough number that I am workign with atm is a 40% loss for investors, and around 90% loss for my investment. I am goint to take a screenshot of the current investors before handing CEOship over to Kwint, so the towers are his after this. After Ric contracts the assets/isk to me I can melt it all down and dish it out, I am paying him a fee of 50M for this as per the Chibbra 3rd party model.

Firing up the laptop now, will login after DT, sitting in the system. For showing me the contract, on a personal contract only the contractor or the contracted can view it, I get an error message.

Edited by: Kirjava on 11/01/2008 17:31:43 Will be back later, have a few final odds and sodds to sell and then will pay it all out, I can guarentee a total of 50% return for all investors, I am going to sell Doctor Fruitloop and Arianhod if I need to to get this 50%. The moons were sold with POS for lower than what I could of got but circumstances dictated the lowe price of 1.5B.

If Kwint wants to pay up the loss on the sharevalue then I am not going to stop him, I can't comment on it as I don't know about that to be honest.

I will take the 50 million ISk to keep the information out of the public domain, and will mitigate my loss and investigating effort.
Information is always valuable to someone!
Looks like someone is ticked off that even after payment he is going to make a bigger loss that had he kept his shares. Kwint is the buyer of the chain and not the partner, if you blackmail the details now it dosen't do anything to me personaly or this operation, the new EDINA is dissasociated from my management. Though I must say the irony of the situation is not lost at this end....

Yes, the introduction of HACtors was a mistake imho, every gate in the area seems to have one on it . Send scout through, scout dies so I logoff....

It took you this long to realise the interest rates were at 18%/month for a good reason? Reactors only work in lowsec, Jump Freighters didn't exist when I started, ofc I was using lowsec gates.

Since the chain is no longer my problem, I will say how I did my logistics. Before the IPO I was using a Bustard and a scout, sometimes I had to cloak and run off grid to escape pirates, but all was good back then. When I expanded, as outlined in the IPO, investment covered a Rorqual and a Freighter. I would ship goods to the last hisec system in this Freighter, dock up, then move materials by Bustard to a POS sitting in 0.3, 1 jump away. Because Rorquals are lowsec only - they have to be loaded in lowsec. I cynoed back and forth to the station in my area with the Rorqual, it was loaded from a corp hanger array in that lowsec system. I would like to see you load a Rorqual without leaving hisec - it's impossible.
Chears Bombber, due to a few delays I am just going to pay out the 2.5B I have to hand then do the rest as soon as I get my mitts on it. Ric and Kaz read the much more detailed business plan which included the logistics plans, so you can't say I never thought of that

Just saw this, in the middle of paying it out now. I have just under 30k ferrogel on the market waiting to be sold, but I started at the top of the investors and worked my way down so the biggest investors may allready have noticed me throwing isk in their wallets.

I made the ferrogel I am flogging at 8k/unit for production with a proffit margin of 20k/unit. The proffit margin is starting to thin out relativle speaking though.

While I kind of agree with you that the only 'safe' way to get cargo through low sec is to skip it entirely with jump capable capships, don't you think that's kind of a bad mechnic for the game to have?
Kind of. But pre Jump Freighter a capship that could cyno had to be in lowsec, so something has to make the jump into lowsec through a gate to load up that capship, thats where the risk of the operation is.

And yea, 50% loss of total capital was what I said, sorry about the confusion there, I estimated the loss then guarenteed a total payout of 50%, meaning of the initial investment, my apologies.
