Yes, and it's definitely very valuable. Shield logistics (Basilisk) for repping station services and POSs, armor logistics (Oneiros) for repairing tech-2 ships and BSs in fleet combat.
However, the OP is Minmatar specced, and was looking for something to train quickly. I would expect interceptors and interdictors to be the faster route, while still being in high demand.

I put Hyena and Wolf/Jaguar into my EVEmon and it's a pretty short schedule. Longest skill to train is Minmatar Frigate V at 9 days. I know nobody likes assault ships but I think I need the Engineering V and Mechanic V as support skills anyway, so it doesn't cost me much after that to get my first T2 killer.

having a good understanding of the game and ability to teamplay will make you indispensable i should think :) covops/intelligence gatherers are rather desirable i am told.

For your skills (very nice to get the t2 meds so fast btw) i would recommend interceptors, interdictors and Recon ships (Rapier/Huginn, in very very high demand at the moment) the new electronic attack ship is also a must in my oppinion, its basically a baby Huginn and very cheap comparatively.
Edit: It's named hyena, being able to fly that and interceptors well (t2 1MN MWD, t2 Warp disruptor and web) would be quick and make you a nice find for any pvp group.
