Older player here, I updated to 3.0 today and EVEMon suddenly stopped reading my APIs. I just get "An error occured while querying the account status for API-key X" for all my three API-keys.
Is this a known issue or should I submit a bug-report? |

Is this a known issue or should I submit a bug-report? Click on the 'magnifying glass' of the notification for more info. Alternatively use the built-in API Tester tool to ensure that you can access the API server. If not, check your Internet Options settings or most likely your Internet security software is blocking the traffic.
So, apparently the connection to the server times out and then every API-key separately complains of not being able to connect.
The weird thing is, yesterday it suddenly worked, today it suddenly doesn't again.
I've tried to use the in-built tool but it never worked. Until EVEMon started working like normal for a couple hours. And I'm sure I haven't set my AV-tool nor my internet options to "allow access at random time intervals".
For now, it seems the problem is on CCPs end, otherwise why would I sometimes get a connection with the API-server and sometimes not? |

If you don't get a response it's either your Internet settings, your AV software or your ISP. It shouldn't be anything on CCP's side as you are the only one reporting this issue.
Well, that worked. Though EVEMon still loves to alternate between completely normal and timing out. I guess I just have to live with this. |

When you click the "magnifying glass" in the window that pops up there is an option to increase the timeout. The default is 20 seconds but there are options to upper the value. I think the max is 1 minute.
Thanks, next time this happens I'll try upping the timeout to max. I've also found out restarting a couple times sometimes works, too. |
