I just lost a Drake in a rogue drones mission (new frontiers, 5 of 7), because I was warp-scrambled. Now, I find this rather odd, since I wasn't aware that there were scramblers in level 3s, or that drones could mount them, or I would have mounted a stab. Another thing was that I was never informed that I was scrambled...until I tried to warp. Am I missing something, or is there a bug? And what drones scramble you?

All drone names beginning Strain can warp scramble. Just assume they will, and focus on killing them. -----

Crap. Well, that little bit of ignorance just cost me 24 million ISK.
Well, thanks anyway.

Chances to see the warp scrambling notification between the hit and miss notification are pretty slim.
You can easily do that mission in a drake if you kill the neutralizing towers one at a time. Evry tower killed release a new swarm of drones.

There's no notification for NPC scrambling, that I know.
Also, of all of the towers present only five or six of them spawn new drones, and of the neut towers only three of them.

Yes, there is. In missions or complexes, you will see; (for example) [Serpentis Ice Breakers has started trying to warp scramble Cocoi [SUBSP]]. But the chance to see it, or keep it in the logs is slim, with a lot of aggro. _________________ I design icons.

ESC -> General settings
You can uncheck all damage notifications, so you are left with Notify warp scrambling messages.

Yeah, It's not that bad. I always insure missioning ships at platinum, so I lost my money mostly in all my modules. But, on the plus side, I learned a lesson, and will be a little more observant and intelligent next time.

Try a totally passive drake with 3 lse and 3 shield amplifiers along with as many shield power relays in low as u can get--I have two with a a bcs and pds (i need that or don't have enuf pg to fit). I use all T2.. setup uses no cap at all and u have one heck of a lot of shield hp's and super recharge rate.
Oh and I never bother to insure my ships cause u get about a 3rd back neway for uninsured ship and in the past my mods were worth more than the ship AND I can build my own T1 ships (T2 ship would be another story).

Turn your effects on. Not only can you SEE that you are being scrambled, you can see which ships are doing it (usually one, sometimes two). It'll slow you down a bit but it's a no brainer as far as I'm concerned.

I'd like to see some kind of electrical bzzzap interference stuff going on around the entire screen when warp scrambled. Not only would it let you know you are scrambled but it would look sweet too. ---

there is a level 2 mission that informs you there may be a few interceptors with the spawn (3 to be exact)
They scramble, but I don't think they web.

Vikarion: What was your Drake setup? Curious so I know what to expect if I get this mission.

New Frontiers is a big waste of time. The first mission is worth the 2.4% corp standing gain I got from it, but after that they weren't worth the trouble. 5/7 is a royal pain, with the neutralizers, and there's one other annoying one in there as well. If you're running level 3s in a passive drake or NH, okay, fire away. Otherwise, I strongly recommend skipping these, at least after the first one. The final mission gives less than the first, btw.

I just got scrambled in a lvl 2(Human Cattle4) by the last Interceptor. Wierd thing is he stayed out of range of my AC at 8K and although I used rockets, my log never mention them at any time, hit miss or other. Couldn't get closer with AB. There are 2 'Scan Disruptors' in system... are they the culprits? I must have warped out about 5 times before I got WS and I don't know what triggered it. Scratch 1 frig. So much to learn.

That will teach u not to use ac's and rockets exclusively. I always combined arty's and ac's when I had a rifter and I swapped out rockets and light missiles depending on mission type--obviously u needed missiles and arty

And first mission is worth it because everyone mines out the gneiss and omber before turning it in, you get blockade like levels of LP and isk.
I usually abandon the chain after that, I don't like courier missions and I dont like level3 drone missions.
