2003 - I started playing, everything was just new and awesome! ;D
2004/2005 - The time I really started to play the game on a more "elite" level, becoming a pirate and to play with friends IŠve played with ever since. I have a whole lot of awesome memories from 2004/2005 which IŠll never forget. Letely IŠve just been slacking down on my EVE time ;(

2003 hands down as far as immersion is concerned. EVE was still "big" back then and you were mostly alone in space.
Nowdays it's crowded, 23/7 farmers everywhere, 10+ man gatecamps, blob fleets and POSes. Space should be bigger than that...

'03 was fun. Ninja mining Arkonor in a noob ship 'cause the repairs to them are free. The m0o gatecamp in Mara.
2007 was better because the economy in EVE doesn't suck anymore. You can actually make money now without griding rats or asteroids. There are more people playing and space is actually populated. Found a good group of people to play with, and that more than anything is what makes this game worthwhile.

2003 Eve was bigger as it was pre superhighway and took a lot of jumps to go anywhere. Battleships were the solo pwnmobiles and not many people had them. Mining in a probe then a Thorax, cu vap miners were uber
Oh and Amarr were to be feared lol!
Not forgetting Mo0, they were actually scary...

i think it was in 2004 when all you needed was an inty with launcherhardpoints, a webber and speed. thoose were dogfights down in pf-, oh yeah
