Edited by: EV Truth on 20/03/2004 10:31:15 Edited by: EV Truth on 20/03/2004 10:19:56 The following is taken from the Everlasting Vendetta Forums. This is a Forum alt character so as not to reveal my true Identity so I can keep access to thier forums. I am a high ranking offical in EV. The reasons for doing this are my own and will remain so. The Following was posted by N'fran D'larn on 3.12.03
I am posting the following chat logs - unedited - to address an problem that is spinning out of control and is about to fracture the SA.
The Stain Alliance has been tested for some time now. As one of the oldest and most powerful Alliances in EVE, SA was among the first to suffer the inevitable attritions that come when you start from beta and quickly master the game. As I know lots of you did, EV also lost many players who were at the top of the game, because they felt they'd done it all, got bored and decided to look for new adventures. It's left SA smaller, leaner and in the face of CA's rise, struggling to maintain it's lost glory, its power and its identity.
The new constitution is a solid, right step in laying the ground work to return SA to that path. The biggest problem we have is that we remain fracturalized. While CA has pulled together a cohesive group of corporations, SA has remained fiefdoms, many of which remain bickering and chest pounding to this day. My hope has been that the constitution, over time, would help resolve much of that. My fears are that SA won't survive long enough for the constitution to do its work, that the membership won't pull together and overcome myopic thinking and perceived injustices.
I believe that the chats below show exactly that. I believe that they demonstrate corporate leadership which either a) is so ****ed off about a problem which they perceive yet, unbelievably, haven't addressed to the leadership (meaning come to me) b) incorrectly believes they are the only ones fighting in this war and that everyone else is cowering in fear c) Are completely full of themselves and think they solely run the show.
EV's Position - I came to the CEO channel to try to speak to the leadership of COL about the chat log posted below and a couple more which I got in an email today. You can read the conversation that transpired.
- If any COL member fires upon any EV member a State of War will exist between Everlasting Vendetta and Collective. Period. - Until Further notice EV will not participate in any operations lead by Collective.
I'm sorry guys, I love the SA, but I'm not going to sit idly by and have my ass-kickers in Falcon trashed. Nor will I listen to 3 Collective directors threaten me and my corporation in this manner. It's utter BS and not what EV is looking for in an alliance.
I'll say one last thing, SA is never going to be beaten from the outside, this is the kind of thing that will kill the SA.Below is a capture of a chat in CEO channel tonight. This may mean the end of our relationship with Stain. Further details as they come, USE CAUTION IN STAIN
The following are logs of conversations which took place in the last 24 hours. These are serious and may lead EV to leaving the Stain Alliance. At the very least I am anticipating EV battling directly with Collective.
For those new to EV, not to worry, this is one of the things that makes the game great! I will be asking Synapse (read NOT all of Falcon) to relate in this thread a bit more of the problems we have been encountering with Collective so that everyone can understand what has been going on.

[COL] have always been arrogant and overbearing and, to be honest, the people starring in that chatlog from [COL] are the worst.
I have a feeling [EVER] will leave SA because of this and, if [COL] and [EVER] do go to war, it will be interesting to see how the other SA members react.
[COL] have been stupid enough to believe the CA-hype and, if my crystal ball is correct, [COL] will join CA within weeks.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the next couple weeks SA is asking that NONE of our pilots venture into Xetic Alliance Space. There have been some minor problems with the NAP this last week and Xetic is strutting over them. Personally, I find it grating that such a small alliance controls such a large area of space, but tensions are still high and SA is working to keep from pushing Xetic into joining CA and adding to our problems.
Bottom line - Please stay out of Xetic Space until further notice. Xetic Alliance is galling to say the least. They brokered NAP with SA and CA yet I'm fairly certain that CA/C4 used Xetic space to reinforce the fighting in Esoteria over the weekend.
The real problem is that SA feels weakened to the point that we don't want to generate in another Alliance war at this time. That's the bottom line. We have enough to deal with the current situation and don't need to start another Real war. Let's take care of our own backyard before we head out to pinch the neighbors veggies.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- m0o is untrustowrthy, period. making any agreements with them is suicide as they would one day turn on us. The flip side is that in the eyes of EVE we still wear white hats and are a Good Guy corp with ideals. Regardless of the crap you may read. Incase you didn't know that. Any association with m0o would be seen as changing our stripes.
The SA had already decided not to have a formal NAP with m0o - it was more of a "look the other way" agreement. We are far better off stating our intent up front and acting with conviction than we are trtying to dodge and squirm. IMO that is.

Well as much as i hate to believe alts its not that unlikely and also rather interesting. If this is true, it could severly shift the balance of power within the south of space. Whatever people believe about which corps fight or not, having a corp such as EV leave the Sa would be a major blow. Also the knowledge, if ture, that Sa is this fractured is a beacon to all would be pirates and renegades to take advantage.
Interesting, cant wait for more news.

Not surprisingly the chat has been edited and cut down to show very little of the actual conversations. Lets just say there is a lot of stuff missing that would shed a lot more light on the whole thing but im not about to add to this thread, please lock and delete it as it is from private forums that have no right to be posted here, thanks.

Alt spy posting is lame.

As much as i dislike people posting private matters on the official forums, this sort of thing doesnt ruin the game, it makes it more fun. How can deceit and betrayal ruin a game? Without those elements what would we do all day?

Josh, what you call arrogant, is simply the proud of the [COL] on their alliance and [EVER] makes NOTHING to be proud.

LOL when you consider the fact that you have posted about 20 lines of a conversation that is about 80 long. And missing the other convo logs that im afraid show the REAL essence of the subject. How can people judge from that? I will repeat, intelligence is sadly lacking in your case

In my opion Collective have allways fought with honour. Coupled with the fact that they were one of the few corps which held stain together. It would not be a good idea to annoy them further.

I hope EV pushes and sticks out there chests even more. As the biggest leech to ever hit the SA, they deserve extinction imo. And no I am not a Stain Member anymore.
Frankly I always considered MASS, Collective, Omega, and Storm Guard the Stain Alliance. They fought with honor always, and you could guarntee a big fight on your hands in dealing with them. EV --- LOL! You gotta be kidding. Unless they've been training, they are PVP Noobs.
There reputation only exists with those that dont know them, and see how many members they have. |

Edited by: Valorian on 20/03/2004 13:43:32 LOL, back when OC was in SA, EV had spies in as many camps as they could so why should they change now.
It is a simple fact if you have any form of relationship with EV (friendly or hostile) they will try to place a mole in your corp.
Some of EV members may be good people, but as in most communities hangout with the wrong crowd and you get tarred with the same brush.
