I read about pirates, bounty hunters and corporations but what about low life scammers? Where they fit in?
I mine in indy near Pator and make whooping 10.6 mil. Well I got brave and went to 0.7 system get better ore. You guess itą NPC blow me up there so I go to station get shuttle to get back to my Vigil IĘm using for agent missions. Click on to get gallante shuttle and lo behold how stupid can I be not paying attention!!! Instead of 10k. I pay 10mil. For this shuttle. So I look and I purchase from ęBetty BoomĘ member of Knights of the Minmatar Republic. I look at Corp. info and it say: Soldiers of fortune who live by honor.
I send mail to this Betty Boom and CEO of above Corp. No response so I figure that is how they make fast ISK of stupid like me-:(
My question to you VetĘs and big guns is then how you treat this kind of brave fighters?
(meantime IĘm mining my arse for more ISK)-:)

Yeah be careful all always check the prices of anything you buy.
If you want a real laugh go check the prices of shuttles and frigates in Agil.

that's very unfortunate for you. i guess it's a lesson learned the hard way.
btw, shouldn't there be a prompt poping up if the price deviates a lot from the average price of the item?

I think that's only when you put things onto the market! Never seen it myself when buying something. Only with selling.

Somewhere between corp thieves and ore thieves.
Anyway, sorry to hear about your loss. I never keep more than 5 mil in my wallet at any time anyway. _______________________________________________ Eris Discordia: On the scale of funny and constructive it scores low, real low. |

Yeah, scamming on the market system is harsh to the new players who are unfamiliar with the game. It would be a nice feature if a warning popped up if you were about to buy something for more than 200% market average.
You might petition. Losing your first 10 million by accident to a market scam is not cool. It would at least raise the problem a notch higher in CCP's eyes.

Once again I must get on my knees and beg the EVE community for just one thing. Take half a second of your precious lives and COUNT ZEROS. It puts an end to posts like this. -------------------------------------------
