Would it be possible to have a research forum on this site. You have forums for Crime and punishment, events, Factories, Market, Missions, Ships and modules and skills but there is no forum for us scientists who like to specialise in findnig and improving BP. I think the BP system is a little confusing and it would be nice to have a forum where we can discuss Scientific subjects, like what services the research facilities offer, which ones work and which ones are not yet implimented, what copy means , how the waste factor is calculated, how PT is affected etc.
All in favour say I.

Some of us love the thought of doing research related tasks in game but don't even know what the holy heck BP stands for.

Edited by: Brent Steel on 21/03/2004 18:41:30 I'm still a bit confused as to what is an origonal BluePrint (BP). copy yes = it is a copy copy yes = you can copy it
which is correct? I thought it was the second, but now I am not so sure having got a "copy no" BP with infinate production runs. I thought only origonals have infinte runs, so in that case how come it is copy no, unless it means the first case above.
My head hurts

Copy no means it isn't a copy.
Only originals can be researched and copied, so copy no means yes you can copy it. Trust me, oh and it helps if you're drunk

You are correct - it is a bit confusing. Let me see if I can help. Copy-yes means that you can copy the bp. The reason why you have seen an infinite run copy is because it is a left over from a previous patch. Currently, only original bps have unlimited runs. One thing that you can be sure of, if it has a limited number of runs it is a copy.
Hope that helps

Does the number of runs mean the maximum amount you can produce? or is it just x number of batches? http://www.eve-radio.com/

The number of runs is the number of batches you can produce from that BPC. For most things, like ships or turrets for example, 1 run=1 batch=1 ship/turret. For something like missiles, which produce 10 missiles per batch, a 300 run BPC can produce 3000 missiles.
And to clarify what was said above, if the BP info says 'copy-yes', that blueprint is, itself, a copy. If it says 'copy-no', that BP is an original. People have been getting this confused since the beginning. I wish they'd change the info to show 'original-yes/no' instead of 'copy-yes/no'
