while the maled setup provided by lyria might be a close call vs a b-ranis, I would urge you not to do the same thing when using a crusader.
the beam crusader might have a chance if you don't get webbed, but if you see a taranis in the field and you're in a 'sader, either stay out of web range or don't bother to kill the guy

There are sader setups that easily beat t2 high damage blasteranis's in web range, its quite easy tbh. Sader can get mad armor hp and with a dmg control or magnetic plating its fairly easy.
depends actually. specially after the boost of ANP II's a taranis can get mad armor with a ANP II + DCU II.
edit: lemme crank up EFT and see what can be done.
what guns you want on the 'sader?

those are with my skills and using my usual taranis fit vs the DCU II + magnetic plating setup you said. slapped a web since you will need it to maintain the ship at range.
in ideal conditions this taranis setup will wtfbbq this crusader setup.
however it must be taken into consideration that the 'sader is faster.
but since I pack nanite paste with my blaster setups since their introduction, I can just overload the mwd and go at 5.4km/sec
the same can be said of the 'sader however that can go at 6km/sec with overloaded mwd.
I would say it's a tecnical draw
vs a neutron 'ranis however, the 'sader would win, I'm sure, since the neutron 'ranis would forfeit any kind of tank for pure damage.

there is one thing that I fear the most in a B-ranis and that's a rocket malediction.
in the world of dogfighting the rocket maled and b-ranis are kings. remember that.
