You, sir, are dead inside!
Besides which, he hasn't, really, he's only said that one happened, and a gm helped, how is that publicising, when we already know such events happen? Mhmm.

He said nothing about what happened, only that a GM answered his petition. That should be allowed, shouldn't it?

Edited by: Infection on 20/03/2004 22:06:25 I am fairly certain those rules apply only to someone bringing up question to a GM's judgement and to prevent the ability of a user to "attack" verbally a GM and/or CCP dev. He did not state any information regarding the contents of the petition. The only thing that has occured was a thank you thread to a GM for ninja responce.
Sma, you though come close to meeting the qualifications to being a forum troll.
Forum Rule 2 subsection 4: "Trolling is prohibited. Trolling is the word used to describe a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting the members of the forum community. Posts of this nature are disruptive and do not convey a friendly attitude."
Have a nice day.
P.S. Lord XSIV, I am sure the GM, if he/she has read this, appreciates the thank you.

In details - GM XHagen help my friend in some problem. And He do this quick (not more than 10 min.), without any questions (he see all in log) and he's behaviour be very proffesional (GM tell and do all he must). So I must and want say "Thanks". Good job.
Thats all folks!

In addition I believe that GM XHagen is largely responsible for getting the icelandic credit card issue to be taken seriously enough that it was finally fixed after having been around for weeks.
Top marks to him for that (and to Elissen for pressuring the GMs ).

I have a grand idea, that maybe the users of Eve will follow. The topic of this thread is fairly general. Aswell as it could fit the description of a GM thank you thread for anyone who feels like brightening up a GM's day. So anyone who has ever been helped by a GM, let them know your appreciation for that it was you who was helped when it was needed. I am sure they would like to see users of the Eve community show a little love.

The only encounter I've had with a GM was when Abraxas answered a thread i made about lost skillpoints. (Didn't lose that much so I didn't care to petition, and it hasn't happened again, so no bug report...).
One of my friends got help from one once though, and it was much appreciated, especially the quick response (I had told him that it could take hours, and it took about 5-10 minutes I believe... always nice with pleasant surprises)
Aside from that, I've also had some good help from Polaris, especially in help channel - and some ppl who weren't Polaris, but helped me anyway - help channel is full of them (However - any answer from someone who is not Polaris in help channel might be wrong, I've seen ppl give the wrong answer in help channel several times (and corrected them)).
Libertina is scary, I've only seen her make a typo once

Since we are at it, Ill give a Big thanks too. I have always had great experience from them, even if they didn't give me a new Raven that one time At least GM White(I think this was his name) gave me a good reason why he wasn't giving me a new ship.
Thanks for a "Job Well Done" in every petition I have issued since I started playing back in beta.
Booky Spelling corrections welcome, but don't expect me to edit my post. |
