Hey there,
Here I leave you the projectile ammo dmg % to be used with EFT defence calculator.
Usage is simple: On EFT's right side of the ship fitting window you'll see a "defence" box. - Right click on it and choose: "Edit Custom Profiles". - On the window that'll pop up you'll see a drop down option on the right. Click and choose "New Profile" - Name your new profile, for instance: "Vs. EMP" (won't be able to do anything 'till you type a name anyway) - Enter the dmg % values on the corresponding boxes. - It will be automatically saved, so you can repeat for a new dmg type.
Default EFT defence option distributes damage evenly, so when it tells you how long your tank would hold, it's basing all calculations as if you were receiving 25% of each dmg type. Thus, this info will allow EFT to tell you how good your tank is Vs. different types of ammo.
Projectiles
- Vs EMP 45.46% EM 18.18% KN 36.36% EX
- Vs. Fusion 20% KN 80% EX
- Vs. Depleted Uranium 25% TH 37.5% KN 37.5% EX
- Vs. Titanium Sabot 66.67% KN 33.33% EX
- Vs. Phased Plasma 80% TH 20% KN
- Vs. Nuclear 28.58% KN 71.42% EX
- Vs. Carbonized Lead 50% KN 50% EX
- Vs. Proton 42.86% EM 57.14% KN
- Bonus Track: Vs. Blaster/Rail 41.7% TH 58.3% KN
- Soon: Lasers Well, won't lie to you, this "soon" won't really ever happen. So if anyone feels like spending a couple minutes with a calculator and posting it, it would be appreciated :-)
Disclaimer #1: Percentages may vary in the percentile part when fighting anything that uses smaller-than-large ammo. Even then, the difference should be negligible, as EFT seems to round up the numbers anyway.
Disclaimer #2: If this one's already been posted, or if EFT already has a built in defence tool for each ammo and I just happened to blatantly overlook it, then just, well, disregard the post. I still enjoyed doing this... while at work anyway... lol... -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+

Edited by: Ohmy Fugod on 09/01/2008 19:56:16 The blaster/rail dmg model can be seen listed as a bonus track, on the very bottom of the list :-)
- Drones are 100% one type dmg. Unless you meant to include fighters as well with their varying percentages... sooo... another bonus track!
Fighters - Dragonfly (Caldari) 33.33% TH 66.67% KN
- Firbolg (Gallente) 66.67% TH 33.33% KN
- Templar (Amarr) 66.67% EM 33.33% TH
- Einherji (Minmatar) 66.67% EX 33.33% KN
Lasers coming soon!
Edit: If you want to know the % when somebody sends you one fighter of each: 16.66% EM 33.33% TH 33.33% KN 16.66% EX -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+

You know, you can just open up the "charge info" in eft and input those values.

That's right, however this list would allow you to imput each dmg type and create your dmg models without having to fit the gun, load it's ammo, check values, etc... something annoying if you want to test, for instance, a kestrel setup vs any gun dmg. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+

Typing the soon lasers part took you more time than it would have taken to just work it out. Be honest, it was just an excuse to poke a dead squirrel wasnt it? :)

Just make all your presets, and then open the EFT ini file and copy and paste the entire damage types section.
It's much easier. (BTW, I already have all of these, as well as expected damage types from various sources [Gank Mega, Gank Harbinger, Gank Brutix, Myrmidon, etc], NPC rats, drones, fighters, etc).
I've actually got so many presets that I was hoping that I could see submenus in it....

Would you, oh great Liang Nuren consider sharing with us the nigh infinite knowledge and wisdom contained within your config file? I would very much appreciate it and might even consider sending you a donation of 10 isk.
Apart from the 10 isk point I'm serious about that. I did a few npc models and I have two or three ship setups in there, but that's when I got lazy... |

If this is on the front page when I get home, I'll do it. Otherwise, no. :p

EM TH KI EX 20/30/30/20?
Depends on the ship.
Tri-Hardened resists:
Gallente KIN/THERM highest, EM/EXP tied lowest. Minmatar EM/THERM are highest, KIN then EXP. Amarr THERM highest, KIN/EXP bit lower, EM lowest.
High-end to low-end resists differ by about 10 points. IE 70/80/80/70 for Gallente.
EANM-Based resists:
Gallente EM highest, KIN/THERM, then EXP Minmatar EM highest, THERM, KIN, then EXP Amarr EM highest, THERM, then KIN/EXP
High-end (EM) to low-end resists can differ by almost 30 points depending on ship. Minmatar can have under 50% EXP resist but over 80% EM.

Yeah, I just put in the raw numbers when I was making my list of crap. I don't even remember how it stores it.
