As the former head diplomat of Ka-Tet I can only shudder at how this has happened from a political point of view.
I can also atest to state that I am not entirely surprised by this move.

What I will say is this...
In whatever Ka-Tet has done, I will find it extremly hard to beleave that DMC were not giving suffcent warning to this attack and that something was worked out with RA before they even considered resetting DMC.

Completely agree with your post. Theres alot that can be said about ka-tet atm but I know for a fact that DMC knew of Ka-tets hostile intentions for months in advance. Cruel Fox contacted me after the botched Pure fiasco as Pure leadership totally sold out ka-tet for pulling out last minute on the bandwagon jumping on that occasion (perhaps rightly so). DMC knew, or have known about this for months, and I find it absolutely absurd to even consider that the current Ka-tet leadership would have Pearl Harboured DMC.

Its a bold move on their part but a necessary one. The true dramabomb for this thread is if Altas and CI have indeed sided with DMC on this. If thats true I simply am gobsmacked considering the comradary found during the frege war. Thats a giant slap in the face for ka-tet if thats true.

GL to ka-tet, I can hear the cheering and mad viking chanting for Nuker and the rest of tdk all the way over here in Oz.

GL too to DMC, if you werent informed of the rest than I would seriously be questioning your leadership over the slip up. Either they were too inept to fix the standings (unlikely) or they thought doing so would be a nice political leverage point in COAD. Lame either way.

A little bit more respect can't hurt. Each corp/alliance has it's way of gameplay and each deserves respect if it doesn't affect others in a bad/negative way.

Looking backwards on the whole pure history invading DMC i think DMC learned alot of it. In the first few weeks of pures attacks we had much troubles in doing something back against their nano-gang but we adapted in the weeks after. The final large invasion was still a bit to much for us to handel so we got "some" help.

However, like said earlier, we learned alot. And calling us (DMC aswel as for Ka-tet) "hoplessly inept entitys" says more about you than about us.

To ka-tet, let this be a fun war no matter the outcome

I was in gang and I didn't see a single freighter in the many hours I was online.
Your own Alliance members have even said they saw no freighters or freighter kills.

This is the major issue with the Drone regions, each Drone region allinace has an alliance overlord. Rule of Three = Razor and Iron, DMC = RA, Mostly Harmless = Razor, Atlas = Iron, RA might have a few others.

Go many Larger alliances that dictate terms to others, its not even funny.

Its like fat kids and cake. Smash goes shooting <insert alliance here> and roadkill says "hey your my bff, give me some cake." Then Chaos would stop by the house and be like " hey heard you guys got some cake up in here, i want in." The next day Scooter gets a phone call from Atlas's mom yelling at them for not offering Atlas some cake.

Thats pretty much how we roll up in da drone regions. Also dont forget the "i've been drinking, lets start a war with these guys" tendencys.

You would have to sink the KB's for any kills to show up on yours at all. 95% of the kills on the ATLAS kb are smash/kill kill's with a tolken ATLAS frig.

RA threatens you with evection so you set DMCI to a +10 and fight for them. Problem is you guys dont actually fight anyone by yourselfs you just get single ceptors on RK/Smash kill and smack on forums.

Its going to be interesting when a small alliance like X.I.X attackes your space and RK/smash dont come to your aid because of fear that RED will get involved.
