Looking forward to this patch, the new API change over should be 'fun' for us. You did the right thing getting this out as is, sounds like enough changes.
A heads up though, anyone with a ' in their name or corp name is still unable to use the pos tracker. If you are affected by this, I recommend you use a different character in the same corp with the rights. And don't allow anyone in named "Imaspy' drop tables;".
Also, for those of you who are also managing massive amounts of pos's from different corps, I recommend using two accounts: one for your main with all the admin privs and can view everyone's pos's, and then one for your main fueler corp with no admin or secret rights, so you get a slimmed down list of pos', plus you are not annoyed by corps who don't know how to fuel properly.
Other things that would be really helpful: Sort on stront timer, sort on 'last update' so you can easily find dead but not deleted pos's, and somehow highlight pos's that have the default pos name and 0 LO3/HW usage, as those are most likely not setup to fuel correctly. Would love you to pull liquid ozone bridge levels as well (though we have our own bridge levels system) as you only have one bridge per system, easy to figure out how much LO3 you need.
Once again, a great tool, highly recommend it's use to anyone managing a pos group beyond a certain size. |

We are also having the problem of it not remembering what sorting you want to do. However, we have over come this with a bookmark: https://URL/track.php?sd=100&sb=1
This sets it to 100 and sorts on status. I'm a little disappointed the 'update' column went away, but over all, pretty happy.

I can't duplicate this issue at all lol. What version are you both on also?
Does it save tower amounts or is that defaulting also?
Hrm, I think it only picks it up at login time. Now, it seems to be working fine. If you set it, and then go back to pos track, it doesn't use the 'set' amount, I think. Not particularly stressed about it then. |

BTW, I noticed a math error, not sure where it was coming from, but I suspect it might be the charters I'm using. As some of you may know, Goonswarm's war on ice has forced me to manage some high sec towers, and I'm getting the wrong figures on towers there. In particular, small towers are showing needing 27,511 m^3 of stuff. I of course did not grab a debug before doing the work at hand.
If anyone else sees this on their instance, please let this thread know.
PS. Sorry Gallente tower owners. |

All of this might be moot as everything is going to fuel blocks, so we'd need major changes to the system. It's all being hammered out still as well. I'd recommend everyone go read up on it.
I have no idea how we're going to sort out the 'half and half' thing with the number of towers we have. |

BTW, blocks still won't go in towers. Hooray CCP! So no idea when that is going to get added. |

Gloria Lena Koraka wrote:Hi, please include an option to calculate what is needed to build the required amount of fuel block at perfect or optimal ME. Thanks !
These are well known numbers. For 5% waste products, you divide the max usage by 10.5. For 10% waste products, you go with a 5.5% number. Take the largest number in a fuel block, 420 isotopes, and do the math so 420/10.5 = 40. ME 40 is a perfect build. If you want to just save all oxygen, ME 2 is fine. If you want to save all HW and LO3, 158/10.5 = ME 15 (rounded, CCP adds .5 and then truncates).
ME 15 is like a day and 4 hours. Also, Time Efficiency is totally worth it on these prints. With perfect skills and no build bonus, PL 0 is 4 minutes. With a good facility, at PL 3 you're looking at a build time of 2 minutes 6 seconds, PL 10 is 1:55, and PL 14 is 1:53. So I recommend you get at least a little Time Efficiency on there, another 6 hours maybe, and lots of empire slots.
Finally, blocks are finally able to be put in towers, but the API will still not return blocks because the API team didn't get the memo. Hopefully CCP will resolve this soon. |

Gloria Lena Koraka wrote:Kismeteer wrote: snip ...lots of number...
I'm not saying I don't know what these number are, I'm saying I want the tool to tell me I need x amount of minmatar block and y amount of amar block to fuel everything for the specified number of days which break down to Z number of material needed to build these rounded up block number so I don't have to do all the math myself of how much of each material I need to fuel all the tower, like the tool actually does it create you a shopping list (totals fuel for all tower). So the buyer goes and buy all that is required and bring it for the manufacturer who build the specified amount of block and the fuel technician moves these block into each tower. Easing the life of everyone.
Then it's pretty simple: research an ME 40 BPO and he's said he'll add a fuel total in there. Done. No loss at all, easy math for our pos app, everyone wins. Just my opinion, but this is a pos fueling app, not a production application, don't make it too complicated.
If you want easy research, throw up a lab for a bit, or just research it in low sec as there are lots of open, very cheap slots. |

oh wait, sorry I forgot you are a member of goons and that's a prerequisite /rant off
Yeah, that was pretty 'goon like', giving you perfect ME numbers because addition is hard. |

Good news, they announced the date on the energon cube cut over.
Bad news, it's Jan 24th. So a month and a half.
Here's hoping you are still procrastinating 4 days before original timeline.

Frozen Guardian wrote:Ohh well, expect the fuel block patch probably the week/weekend before January 24th. Gives me more time though so I'll probably add in some additional fixes or updates too. This may turn out to be one hell of a patch.
...or I'll wait till the 23rd...before working on it some more. bwhahaah :P
I'd recommend patching the fuel block detection code soon, as they might just double the size of pos's, and so the number of fuel blocks might get to be important. Make it an uncomplicated patch, I guess. Then when it starts burning cubes, that's an entirely different ball of wax. `8r/
Good luck man. The API is a pain in the ass. |

Just a heads up, there was a suggestion that they double the fuel bay temporarily, and it was implemented. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=494033#post494033

Keep up the great work, FG.
BTW, the time out is the major problem our dudes have with the application these days. Just because it takes like an hour to fuel some of our pos's, and it times out in like 10-20 minutes. I'd like to extend that time, but I have not gone through that process yet. |

We are unable to allow new characters to use FGV. (Which we have nicknamed 'The Allspark' after the energon cube patch.) It just comes up with a blank list. Also, we get a message of this in the logs: [21-Feb-2012 14:43:28 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: mod in /html/index.php on line 38 [21-Feb-2012 14:43:28 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined index: access in /html/includes/eveclass.php on line 281
I do not know if these are related. But if anyone else has experienced this, let me know. |

Axis Raikkonen wrote:Just wanted to drop in and say thanks for developing this! I have it installed on a Linux server running NGINX with PHP-FastCGI and it works great.
I do have one question, though. Is there a config line in one of the PHP scripts or a table in the database where I can change the value used to compute optimal stront level? It looks as if POS Tracker considers roughly 1d 16h to be "optimal", but our own internal policy requires us to stront differently. Is there a way to change this to reflect our own optimal stront level, or is it hard-coded?
Looks like it's hard coded right now to near max stront: outpost_fill.php:$needed_hours = (integer) (abs($days_to_refuel*24) + abs($hours_to_refuel)) ; I think you could modify that line to a different number if you wanted, for instance 1d6h: outpost_fill.php:$needed_hours = 30; |
