All,
Been doing some time invention jobs now and I do understand the principes and chance based process. I know that success rate on jobs can be modified with decryptors& base items.
BUT after running invention jobs in 0.0 for months (with having a 70% success rate on jobs), I am now running jobs in empire in a station with no result so far.
My question is if running jobs in empire in station have (beside the effect that it takes more time) an influence on the success rate?
let me know your commentsor findings as I know that CCP likes to keep secret when it involves invention

I have done 1000 Inventions so far and chances for modules without Decryptors are around 50 %. ;-) (in 0.7)
Do you had 70 % overall sucess rate? And how many jobs have you done?
How many inventions have you done in Highsec so far?

I've done around 600 invention jobs in 0.0 and to be complete and fair mostly cruisers and frigates invention.
At the moment i would have done about 50 jobs in empire all with no result.

'where' you invent only affects the time it takes, not the chance.
Modules have a base 40% success rate (good deal increase using meta mods)
Ships have between 20% and 30% base success rate (depending on ship class)
Skills have some very minor effect.

Location should not have any influence on success rates.
Having said that, considering the general number of things that don't work as they are supposed to, there is of course a fair chance it does.
