Really love the service you are running here.
On that note, having worked in the online gambling industry for 5 years now, I would love to see you guys move to a more traditional payout structure for full tables.
Typical online STT payout structure for 9 players is 45%/27%/18%. For an 18 man tourney you'd have 40%/30%/20%/10%
By flattening out the payout structure for full tables, you are spreading out the rewards to more then just the "TOP" players, and thus adding more funds to the poker community. This in turn will reward you as a host by having more people able to continue buying into the next running table.

My suggestion for doing a 50/30/20, was strictly for the fuller tables (8/9, 9/9). They are bigger, harder, and take a whole lot longer to finish, so more people should be rewarded for their time. I'd even suggest making the 1st/2nd split slightly less top heavy with a 65/35 split in the 4-7 man tables.
1-3 WTA 4-7 65/35 8-9 50/30/20 or 55/30/15
3rd place doesn't make a lot of $$ from either two scenario's, but he did earn enough to buy into another tournament.

Originally by: Little JitaGirl I know it'll sound like sour grapes, but the number of bad beats put on by BANKERS on other players is quite disturbing. There would be constant all-ins, similar to what was described above, where the clearly dominated hand would pull out something on the turn/river. It seems to happen far more often than chance would allow.
Yeah, its the same thing at every poker room. Go play a few hundred/thousand hands at poker stars, full tilt, party poker and you'll see the same kind of crap. It sucks to have your dominant hands beat, but it is going to happen. The only thing you can do is put your chips in with the best hand every time, and statistically your going to come out ahead over the long run. |
