What would be the best option to kill a falcon, besides another Falcon to counter it. Will ECCM work when a Falcon tries to jam you ? Or is it all about the skills the Falcon pilot has ? 'We need Tora on CSM like we need holes in our heads.... Both will get you metal plates

Alpha ships are best to counter ECM, all you need is one Jam cycle to miss and they go pop.
Remember Faclons have like no tank.
ECCM works some of the time, so an alpha BS like a tempest with 1400s and an ECCM module or two shoud instapop a Falcon really. |

Was thinking about a cloaked T3, sneak up behind it, double eccm on, and dps. Or same with a Pilgrim and set drones to it. Read something about FOF and Smartbombs....... but a bit risky in empire space . Also read about a tackler and drones assisting it.
Wondering if two ECCM wil be enough... 'We need Tora on CSM like we need holes in our heads.... Both will get you metal plates

Those things are ways of dealing with it, but its just as simple to volley it with an ECCM/SEBO tempest. |

any Long range alpha bs will do tho(apoc/geddon ect work well aswell)
or just jump in a titan/super and laught at him and then kill him. |

But in all honesty if your in a small gang and you make close range book marks before you land on grid popping in and out of the fight can really make a ECM pilot waste both time and jam cycles. And if your the aggressor and going for them try to be all in the same race(also not minmatar) as most falcon pilots buy default use racial james in multiple flavors and skimp on gallente.

In Empire space you have a lot of station "wars". Then I just dock/undock...... Most ships are close range pvp. So would be nice to have a sniper ship cloaked somewhere or a cloaked ship moving towards the falcons. 'We need Tora on CSM like we need holes in our heads.... Both will get you metal plates

Sneaking up on them isn't easy when there's a fight on. If you just run into it, like as part of a gate camp, your best bet will be high alpha ships getting past the jamming.
If you have time to plan, a cloaky ship is certainly a lot more fun. I've done this several times, decloaking a few km away from a target and tackling them before they could align out. Then it's just a matter of resisting their jams long enough to kill them. |

A few tricks that seem to work for us:
1) Fly all one race, as most falcons fit some combination of all four racial jammers. Even if it's Minmatar, they'll just have 2 jammers instead of 1 and you don't give up any capability (except maybe a lach if you need one) by flying pure Minmatar.
2) Every ship with a drone bay should be using ECM drones. Put them on the falcon. If there is no falcon, they also work great on scimis, carriers, huginns, and other major force multipliers. Keep in mind that some support pilots will anticipate this and fit smartbombs.
3) Primary the falcon first. If it's at range have an interceptor go out there and shoo it away (nine times out of ten they'll jam the 'ceptor and warp off, but gone is gone) My killboard - http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/combat_record.php?type=player&name=Kessiaan |

Most ecm pilots are so slow to react they may as well hit self destruct.
Just lock it before he locks you and volley/drone dps him to death. The only time you will struggle is solo, any other time someone in your gang is not going to get jammed.
When we fly nado's/drakes and a falcon decloaks, he is normally dead before his cloak timer is up Everytime you dont like my comments/posts the terrorists win and your a disgrace to your country. |

Tora Bushido wrote:FOF will hit anyone targeting you ? Or only when they agress ? EDIT : Ok, I always thought they would hit anyone that targets you, but it seems they only hit players that agress you. So this might be useful when being jammed. Now lets hope a teammate doesn't accidentally fires at you
"FoF Missiles are "fire and forget"-type warheads, mostly used when the missile boat has been jammed or cannot target an enemy for any reason. When activated, the FoF missile will fire and target the nearest hostile ship or drone. Although useful when completely locked down, they are rarely used due to the lack of control the user has, as well as the fact that they do less damage than their guided counterparts."
So, if the Falcon will be the closest aggressor, FoF's will hit it and even if you can't kill it, you'll force him to leave the battlefield since it has low HP and the pilot will most likely panic. |

Solo you might find falcons a bit difficult unless you're going for an instapop tornado.
In a small gang falcons are easily taken out by high alpha/dps at range. The tier 3 battlecruisers do a great job of this. |

It's always nice to have a Alpha Mael on call if a Falcon shows up. Falcons typically have very short range (in comparison with Blackbirds). Just have a Mael or Tornado warp 70km off your position with 1400's, sebo, lock, fire, and warp out before you can get caught. |

- Any Falcon pilot that decloaks before aligning deserves to die. - Any Falcon pilot that decloaks in front of (or stays on field with) obvious sniper BS/Ti2 BCs deserves to die. - Those that are aligned have to be one-shotted, or they're gone. - Gone is not gone. If he's warped, he'll be back. - If you're in his backyard he'll have a ton of tacticals set up at optimal and off grid. So he'll be right back. - If you're in his backyard, and he has intel on your all-one-race fleet, he'll fit 100% racial jams for your fleet. - at all the tactics that include the words "...just get close enough to him." Again, he'll warp. - If you sneak up on him cloaked, that takes forever, usually longer than a fight takes. - If you sneak up on him cloaked, your decloak timer will be more than enough gtfo time.
About the most annoying thing to a falcon pilot is an inty. And if the inty is in a small fleet (2-5) the Falcon pilot can easily jam the inty out with two unmatched (or one matched) racial jammers (~9-13 strength vs. ~12) leaving 4 jams to mess with the other 1-4 members of the main fleet body and an extra mid for a LSE for really unlucky cycle misses on the inty or taking a risk with a possible sniper. http://eveprincessbride.wordpress.com/ |

tl;dr: Range and tacticals are a Falcon's best friend. But tier 3 BCs do that better. Bring them. "How do you kill that which has no life?" |
