It wouldn't matter if I had used bond money to purchase it anyway. The character's skills clearly line up with the plan I outlined. Now all I have to do is pay 8% per month and pay back the original investment upon liquidation and everything is kosher. I don't think Myrdyr is contesting that though, just for whatever reason he wants to make light of my purchasing decision. I'm not offended, and if I wanted to hide it I would have used a secret alt to bid. I didn't, I used my main.

Character was for sale. Benvie paid an IMO unwarranted premium and I was curious to get his stance on it. If the character had 6-7 standings with Caldari Navy I'd personally value it at the 2bil he bid initially, but for 3+ bil I'd expect some pretty serious faction standings. If you don't know what standings are good for, for a trade alt, well...try to figure it out. Shadarle has some good posts on the subject.
Trade alts are harder to find than freighter alts, though, so while I understand his willingness to pay what he did, it initially was a pretty wasteful expenditure of what looked like public funds.
But that's why people post questions or bring facts to light -- to get clarification on a subject and promote discourse.

i am not sure if benvie would allow me to do this. but i would like to sell my reservation for 500m for 10% of that i.e. 50m.
if this is not allowed then i will follow send the iskies later.

I will send the 100mil for my shares when i get home from work about 17.30 (GMT). If thats ok I know its a little over the 24 hours stated but work generally gets in the way of everything.

Don't bother, the IPO hasn't even "started" they are still in the selling stage. Don't buy this overpriced, either buy it at face value or wait 30-60 days and if the the bond does well then you might consider purchasing it at a higher value but I don't think it will go up that much.
I don't know why he wants to make a pure 50M profit? There is no need to.
