first of all. I want to say hello to all becuase i'm new here :)
I have started playing Eve for a week now, and i'm thinking about to go for a Stealth bomber or a interceptor.
I want to do solo pvp /gang pvp and mission. But i can't choose with one i should choose, the both look like fun.
What do you guys think it the most fun to fly and why ? :)
Btw. I'm Minmatar

An interceptor has a somewhat higher rate of survival then a sb.
That said, i find sb's fun to fly, but fragile and not very sneaky, despite their name. (cant warp cloaked)
Inty's can kill most stuff that an sb can, and survives better while doing so.

I pilot both inties and SB. Since you are new, I think inty would be the best choice. It is a bit cheaper to outfit and has much higher chances of surviving in a group. Also, I find it is generally more useful. SB is great for sneaking around and scaring the crap out of people, but inties are better for group utility IMHO.

Well, neither are really all that good for soloing... but if I had to solo with one, I'd probably pick an interceptor. Both are very useful in gangs for pvp and pve, so either would work fine there. Both are also a lot of fun to fly. As corroded said, overall you'll die less in an interceptor, and more tacklers are frequently needed, so most people go that route instead of SB.

Thanks for the info guys,
there are Two Interceptors The Claw and The Stiletto. What wil be te best one to do some solo stuff?
And about the fitting, i look in the "ship setup index" and i have seen difrent setups but i didn't find one for the soloing stuff. So what do you guys think will be a nice setup for a starting Inty pilot ? :)

The only viable place to solo pvp "stuff" in your inty is in low sec belts. Sentry guns will fry your frig in no time near stations and gates.
One of inty is tackler-inty (bonus to scrambler range), the other one is dps-inty (bonus to dps). Read the ship descriptions.
An inty can complete level 2 combat missions comfortably, but a cruiser can do better and faster. Also, if you set your inty up for missions, it will do very poorly in pvp (AB vs MWD, regen tank vs speed tank).
Stealth bomber doesn't even make sense in missions.

Actually there are eight interceptors, don't be such a xenophobe! But yeah, out of those two, it's not immediately clear which would be better, especially if you have a low level in the Interceptors skill. The good thing about the Stiletto is that you get a 37.5% tracking bonus right off the bat. This is very useful as you will likely be operating outside of web range, and small autocannons just won't reach out to >10km. Thus unless you're brave and fancy betting that your target doesn't have a web, you'll have to fit artillery, and the tracking will really help you hit with the high transversal velocities.
Then again once you get your interceptor skill up, you'll also get 7.5% tracking per level with the Claw, and you'll get a 50% damage bonus instead of 25%. The bonus to warp inhibitor range isn't really an issue if you're acting solo, so you're not really losing anything.

well, i would have to say i like the stealth bomber more, but when i was testing my rifter fitting, the tank on the old stealth bomber didnt do too well. considering i was in a T1 frig with all T1 modules (not even named) and it was a close call who won, admittedly i have about 4 times as many sp as the pilot i was fighting but then again i only have min frig 4, S projectile 3 and no shield tanking skill over lvl 3 (it was a shield tank) so my sp total didn't really count for that much.
on the other hand the interceptor i fought with the same rifter fitting didnt fare much better since that got destroyed by my guns if it got anywhere near me, however it could run away. i imagine the interceptor would fare a hell of a lot better against larger targets however (no, i dont really have to imagine).
a cruiser would destroy a stealth bomber so many times over its not really funny, it cant speed tank because of its stupid mass and most other forms of tanking on it suck. basicly stealth bombers need to kill their target before they get targetted, which means lots of them will do well together but on their own... not much of a chance unless you like hunting T1 frigs at range.
for this reason i have to say interceptor, the taranis for example, will put out almost as much dps as an enyo with some fittings, while remaining highly survivable, so long as your target doesnt have a web lol

Don't tank a stealth bomber. -----

The only thing bad is minny Interceptor's and Stealthbomber aren't really good solo ships but your going to get a rifter in the process. Gangwise stick to stealthbombers and try to get Minnie Recon ships.

both ships require a decent amount of training to fly effectively, I would caution a new player against getting into one without a bit of experience. In order to fit either ship effectively you need to use tech 2 or expensive mods, you might be better off skilling up for a cruiser or battlecruiser if you are that new to the game.

Why not fly an inty and a SB? AT THE SAME TIME.

Inty require your 100% focus all the time, speed, orbit distance, cap, transversal, etc etc etc. And often get assigned key roles in fleets, like scouting, tackling, and taking out support.
SB on the other hand require... patience. To stay there and wait for the right moment to uncloak.
Its like asking... should i play chess or be a F1 car racer...?

* inties are fun. * the skills you need to fly an inty are useful whichever ship you fly. * inties are cheap. * there is room for an inty in any gang. * contrary to popular belief, inties DO NOT need a gistii MWD/snakes/polys to be any good. * inties do sod all DPS * did i mention inties are fun?
