I really don't see what the downside to giving us back our ship hangars is, except for the aforementioned CCP fearing no one would use WiS anymore, and something about them wanting to create a uniform and seamless experience... which doesn't make any sense to me because it's anything but.
Give us a button to enter/exit our ship, and have a check box in the settings menu to enable or disable automatically entering the CQ upon docking. Pretty please? |

CCP just being babies to be honest. like eve gate which no one used. CCP likes thinking people use their features now we have to use eve gate to use forums.
the thing is people would like CQ more if it was option. i know i would use it if all it took was a button to start watching my TV |

I support this 100%.
Like many other people have said, it would be logical to have the old station view back and the option to enter the CQ.
If Eve was a reality in the real world, when you docked you wouldn't suddenly end up in the CQ, you would be in your ship still until you decided to leave to the CQ.
So overall, bring back old station view with option and make it what it should be.

I did already dig through the old forums. The only thing I remember seeing was one or two people thinking CCP was bringing it back at some point in the future / "eventually". Not particularly conclusive, nor something I feel should be on the back burner.

yea like they will expand faction warfare right 
don't forget that we already had the perfect interface, in fact hackers used python injections to get the old hanger back... so there is no technical reason for it to not be back already. |

Perhaps when CCP make WIS useful I'll think differently, but at present it's just a proceesing hog for rather mediocre graphics. |

No reason? I would say the reason is that they have a forced beta testing of wis technology.
And the aurum market. You have already made your concerns heard. When wis comes out I have confidence that they will have the 'decant' option or spin. People continually asking for a reversion ain't going to make it happen.
If you want the spin back then get one of the hacks that you mentioned.
I'd like it back too. But I can see how ccp would see this as a step backward. |

I don't like the old hanger, but it's infinitely better than CQ. CQ was interesting for about 5 minutes but quickly turned annoying and cumbersome. The old hanger wasn't pretty but it also didn't cause problems playing the game.
Out with CQ.

I think when we moved over to these eve gate forums we got a whole fresh batch of forum newbies who were unaware.

Uh, so I guess you have been living under a rock, are a forum newbie, can't be bothered to google it, or can't be bothered to read the old threads that I referred to.
No they didn't give an exact DAY, CCP has learned their hard lessons in promising features with exact timelines but they have said that they were going to bring it back since the CSM meeting in June.
I believe the mittani may have mentioned it in the post meeting interview, a lot was under NDA so exact timelines were only educated guesses. But enough rumours of winter release was mentioned way before these new forums, and your thread started us back at square 1 on this topic. Thankfully, CCP looks to be on schedule with this release. |

wow you are immature, i never heard of you yet you claim i'm a forum newbie, before this post, all CCP claimed was in some way or another that you would be able to spin ships again "soon"
and until their promised old hanger comes back this should stay open, please learn to look at post dates before posting. it would make you not look like and ass. |
